Is the market really crashing? Good friend is thinking about buying a house but I'm not sure if it's a good time to do it.

whatever you do absolutely do NOT tell them do DO anything. whatever they do, they'll end up blaming you for it, or making low key suggestions that you should've been more forward with your prediction.
when talking financial with friends i just say things like
>the way the world economy is going it seems like it really needs a correction
>we're coming up on another 10 year cycle
>$DB might pop
>that whole trade war isn't looking like there's gonna be any winners
i more or less SUGGEST an economic meltdown, that way im never wrong and nobody ever blames me for anything
i do shamelessly say
>buy fucking bitcoin

They have been calling a recession since 2009. Calling it a double dip recession coming. It never came.

Ps. During recessions, only twice have have homes dropped in value in 100 years and we have had 50 corrections.

Just save money and buy when you find the right home...dont wait for a recession. You might lose out

mostly depends on WHERE IT IS. if you're buying a house in the burger burbs, those are mostly going to hold their value. it's the overpriced bullshit places that offer
>a new way to live
>close to all the bullshit you probably wont care for in 5 years
you see, in a recession people spend less on fun things. now those locations next to fun things are less valuable. these are the homes that drop in value dramatically.
i just get the sense that op may be talking about his friend buying a home in another one of these 'up and coming' kind of places.

Should one get a house or rent? I know it's a basic question ut what if you might have to move in 1-2 years?

somewhat correct i think.
depends on where you live.
>shitty place with no prospects?
rent.
>place that will always have people like a college town, major city, etc
if you have the excess cap to put in a downpayment, yes, buy.
you will then leave, and likely want to rent it out using *an agency* to handle the renter's experience. if you have that excess monies, you also have the money to assist with repairs, etc. property ownership is the oldest form of gold.

Who gives a fuck? If your friend is too much a pussy to admit that you do not control their life and they have the god given right to do whatever the fuck they want instead of listening to you, then it's their fault. Why be friends with weak minded pussies like this?

because then they'll tell other friends you dont know what youre talking about and be labeled a retard and someone that's untrustable. its tribe mentality.
>dont care what others think of you!
literally the most incel fucking concept to date
