If interest rates at 0 (except the US) doesn't concern you (and we are near ATH), you should wake up while you can.

The next economic downturn will be a killer for a fiat money given the debt, deficits and economic stimulus that will follow.

Im a gemologist irl which means I know where pretty much all the notable mines and ore deposits are in my state, I might take a short vacation in the fall when the rivers arent too fast and go to the San Juan mountains for some of their gold and silver. Ive learned usually when theres quartz, theres gold. Which means that if you live anywhere near mountains with high amounts of silica (granite is best) you'll almost always run into gold when looking for gems. You know those Peyote stones that Michigan has? Pretty much everywhere in the East has something like that, especially in Appalachia. Due to how limestone is formed, you're bound to find some fossils near any sort of gorge or river, but without a source like water cutting into the ground you probably wont find much in wooded flat ground due to nothing being unearthed. The good thing about limestone is that its super easy to break with a pickaxe, so if you do find some exposed limestone with some suspicuous stripes at it, pick at it and see what you find

say that you have bought 50 oz of silver that you bought for $17 per oz (just like I did). Now say few years pass and silver now is miraculously $30 per oz due to the incredible demand for silver. You've now made a profit of $650. Every single solar panel you see has one ounce of silver. The medical field demands silver, and silver mining is becoming more experience. Thus, it is obvious that the reason why silver chats and videos of silver on youtube is blowing up is simply due to the knowledge that price will indeed go up and you are guaranteed to see a profit if you are young and collecting right now.

I just moved to Dallas and the place I go to is called Dingers. The guy who runs it has to buzz you in, then inside it's just a small room with one bald guy standing behind a counter with a giant ass safe behind him. No decorations other than a lightbulb over his head. Every time you want something or ask for it, he goes to his big ass vault and checks it. He constantly makes fun of indians and niggers and likes to give me deals since I've bought a shit ton of stuff from him. He once said "damn indians want more for their gold than what they bought it for yet even if I gave them extra cash they still wouldn't buy themselves toiletpaper to wipe their greedy asses".

not really but either way putting an ice cube on a piece to test it is a little different than leaving it at the bottom of the ocean for 150 years

I know its a silver/gold thread but, anyone know if there are places who melt scrap copper into rounds or bars?
apparently my friend told me its not considered a precious metal so the place we go to for silver and gold wont melt it.
Should I just do it myself?

So, I inherited a coin collection from granps, had quite a lot of Italian, German (third reich) and US silver coins in it. I catalogued it, then started getting interested in gold coins, who seem to be the ones that increase in value the most.
I went to jewland for holidays, went to the mint there and saw that they were selling gold coins for the 70th anniversary of indipendence, but the premium was insane. Something like 900 USD bullion, 1500 price to buy the coin (basically 600 premium). Do all gold coins have such a fucking high premium, even newly minted ones? Was it only jewland? How's the situation in the US?
Any expert on the topic?
