This is why I am a ERC20 maximalist.

Ethereum is and will be the chosen world computer. However people have been warned over and over again from Vlad Zamfir and others that ETH is NOT a Store of Value or Cash. It is OIL that keeps the System going. When there is a funding Problem the ETH Foundation will always mint new Coins.

ERC20 Coins are the true Store of Value. The Supply of most Tokens will mostlikely never increase as they are hardcoded in the smart contract.

In the next 1-2 years we will see the biggest Crypto whealth transfer from ETH to ERC20 Tokens.

Samsung and Google are about to release ETH Wallets.

ethereum on the other hand revolves around apps and apps need to transact data fast. since it cant scale, it is literally useless (the uncapped number of coins also doesnt help). ethereum either finds a way to scale, which i doubt they will, or it will go to zero

Amazon's stock went to shit after the dot com bubble. Then they eventually committed to creating amazing products. Now Amazon is the global leader of online marketplaces. ETH I do agree should be devalued because of its infinite supply and lack of workable dapps. It would be quite sad to see a potential platform like Ethereum to be known for Cryptokitties. It took years for Microsoft and Apple's technology to finally be worth using. All the pieces of the puzzle have to come together. That means scaling and an influx of dapps thats are more preferable over traditional technology.

So ETH is just the gas to use the network, but the real value appreciation will happen in Link and other token. Not hard to imagine a future where Chainlink alone has a higher market cap than ETH.

It's supply and demand squared.
The ICO boom created a demand to lock up ETH for shitcoins and that limited the supply.
The demand to lock up eth in ICOs dropped right around the same time the lock ups expired.

Many of the ICOs dumped and never even delivered their main net, which damaged ETH's reputation, therefore caused further selling pressure and reduced buying pressure on top of that.
