i fucking answered the phone with a british accent and finished the entire interview doing it because i was too scared to stop once i started (assumed i wasnt going to get it) but they FUCKING ASKED FOR ME TO DO AN IN-PERSON TOMORROW/EARLY NEXT WEEK TO MEET OTHER PEOPLE ON MY TEAM ONE OF WHICH IS BRITISH SO THEY THINK WE WILL BE A GOOD MATCH
what do i fucking do? pretend to be british and just wiki the shit out of the uk from now until next week or just give up on this?

This, just pretend it never happened then if they say "I thought you were British" just give them a weird look. If only one person heard you it probably won't go past that. Plus they are talking to other people, have multiple interviews, "oh I thought this was the british guys, guess not". Play it cool and you should be fine. Try to continue your awful British accent around a group, in an interview, WITH AN ACTUAL BRIT THERE and you will be proper fucked.
