i agree, but you are assuming that there is no friction within the supply chain
if there isnt, then yes decreased supply and skyrocketing demand could be good news
but there are about a dozen different governments that could FUDD you out of any gains

Yes, market share is one of them and in fact AMD has already captured market share in Asia with the new Ryzen. AMD's products have been increasingly improving and the competition has been going sideways. Intel is especially vulnerable. The server products Rome will be launching soon and the sales from that will be very good. Then there's the PS5 and Xbone2 next year. AMD has a partnership with Samsung. They have higher tier 7nm GPU's coming later this year or early next year. The product roadmap looks great.

I'm making the assumption you're a new trader (and that's fine, I am too), but it's really hard to beat the market consistently, so I'd aim to to heavier into more stable investments and make sure those go well (Max your IRA too, if you can)

I mean in general which would be the input function in fft or laplace.
Let's say you have 1 minute candles: The candle of 14:10 (to 14:11) says O=1, H=1.4, L=0.9, C=1.2 vol =1000, then there were no trades(or you have no data) in the time from 14:11 to 14:12 which means the 1 minute of said time is empty(no trades in there). What is o,h,l,c,v of that candle? V is 0 and the rest of undefined. This would fuck up your fft. What do?
Just leave it out? Then your xAxis is not well defined. This is like leaving out a number while counting. 1,2,3,4,6. The successor of 4 is 6 but the distance between 4 and 6 is 2 while it's 1 for all the others. That's why I'm saying that the stock movements might be easier to be modeled as a function of volume traded rather than time elapsed.

TA wise there are two channels of interest to me with MO. A large falling channel on longer time scale (purple lines) and the a tighter short term channel (yellow lines). Long rising bottom yellow line is possible long term trend, however, this line is only supported by two points of data and should not be relied upon for anything.

Streaming - Netflix, DIS, T,Comcast. These will be your big Fish in the streaming wars. Content is king. They have it. They have the means to make more of it easy. (Film/TV Studios).

Middle Fish - Apple/Amazon - They lack content. They lack the means to make more of it (no film studios, no tv studios, no people who have that background)

Low Fish - LGF,CBS,etc. Late to the party means they're gonna be behind the early winners. Sure CBS (and Viacom) have content but so far the major property (Star Trek) has been ran into the shat.

Disc (media) will be phased out. No need for it. Pushes people to use the services. Only thing on disc soon will be old stuff that would cost a fuckton to convert to digital copy. But soon if push came to shove even the old shit will get loaded to the streaming services.

Music will also be streamed the same way. If Films do this right the music industry will follow. No more CD's. Which is impressive. CD's have been around since the 80's.

I own AMD because I believe the share price will go up for a few months or years because AMD always does when it's managing to keep up with Intel, but AMD actually keeping that lead and steadily making money I'll believe when I see it. Like when they released Athlon 64 in 2003, share price $5. Intel couldn't compete and AMD went up to over $40 in 2006. In 2006 Intel released Core 2 which smashed Athlon 64 and in 2009 AMD goes below $3.

This present situation is like an echo. Intel had prescott (pentium 4), athlon 64 kicked its arse in performace/watt so AMD gained a bit of server share. Just like they will now with TSMC's 7nm process. I am ready to short AMD the second Intel release something better.

So not before 2021 minimum. 10nm chips that aren't mobile come out at the the end of 2020 at best, and 10nm chips are a total shitshow where the IPC gain is eaten up by lower frequencies due to a new node, as seen on said mobile chips. AMD isn't sleeping, either, with Zen 3 design being finished and Zen 4 being on track.

Either Intel figures out 3D stacking first or TSMC eventually reaches the physical limit of quantum mechanics around 3nm (although they're researching 2nm right now), but either way, that's going to take a few years minimum to reach that point.

If Lisa Su leaves the company, that's another way how AMD can go down the shitter again, but it seems like she's having too much fun right now beating the everliving shit out of Intel.

pay close attention to just a couple stocks, try writing down what you think will happen to them in a day, in a week, in a month, in a year
do this again the next day, and keep on doing it

youll be able to see where you went wrong, and where you went right

also the easiest way to win is just buy a good stock, then forget that you have it for a few decades, because it is impossible to time the market unless you have a magical crystal ball (and if you do have a crystal ball, just cheat and win the lottery, its so much easier)
