I live in NYC, the vast majority of kids 18-25 want socialism because they don't understand economics and think making all the rich people give their money to the poor people is the nice thing to do and that way we'll have no more poverty. They want to be nice, help everybody. Let's give everybody everything for free because everyone deserves it. Everyone deserves a house and a free Healthcare and delete those pesky student loans and make all the rich pay for it because if they don't it's mean and not nice!

Realistically? Layoffs, chronic unemployment, general malaise, political and social unrest, the usual.
Will likely start with financial trouble of some kind.
Recovery will be even slower and weaker than this one.
Mild deflation will almost certainly set in in Europe and Japan because central banks will keep pushing useless ZIRP and NIRP and QE and pretending they work. US will probably stumble along at 1% with prolonged ZIRP+QE.
