The Chainlink ICO has raised 32 millions of $.
The startup Chainlink (based in the Caymans) has bought the startup Town Crier (created with a financing from the Cornell Tech) in Nov 2018.
Sergey Nazarov is the CEO of Chainlink.
Ari Juels is a professor of computer science in the Jacobs Institute at Cornell Tech and also works as Techhnical Advisor at Chainlink. Conflict of interest much?
Officially Ari Juels co-wrote the white paper of Chainlink, but actually he wrote the whole thing on his own. Sergey's job was to conduct the ICO and run the company, while Steve Ellis wrote the code. Sergey and Steve have no previous publication history, do you think they'd be able to write something like that?
Chainlink sold Town Crier to Chainlink.

Town Crier was a worthless startup funded by a NSF grant. No one would have bought that except for Ari Juels himself. It was basically a scheme for cashing out ICO funds.
Air Juels could've sold Town Crier to a tech giant for way more if it was worth so much.

Q: Why would Ari Juels risk his career like this?
A: Ari Juels didn't shit all over his career. As you can see, he's still employed at Cornell. He named Sergey to run the ICO precisely to avoid reputational damage. Sergey paid shills to bring all the attention on himself, diverting all the criticism from Ari to him.
