So many coins are getting stuck in lighting network

Just lost $40 due to a bug in the lightning labs mobile wallet and unclear instructions in resolving it
Digging through other people's problems they lost a lot more than me

it's bullshit they release "alpha" implementations without back ups
my coins are back on the mainchain confirmed but I don't have access to them due to some error in the wallet
I thought maybe I can delete the app and recover the wallet and it isn't there and btw I found out deleting the app I deleted transaction data I needed to manually recover the funds

This happened to me a few months ago for around 1k because I was operating a routing node and it took me 15 hours to find out how to recover funds which I did
I didn't even make my transaction fees back routing lol

so far with lightning network I've sent maybe a few hundred transactions
now a days 95%+ are going through and it works efficiently
but security, back ups, and wallet errors cost me maybe $50 and 15 hours
when is this shit going to finally work god damn

If you write about problems like these on r/bitcoin they are likely to ban you, which is why so many people fall victim to it.
At least on /biz/ everyone appears to realize ln is utter shit.

Compare your experiences to using other coin rather than bitcoin. Fees of $0.1 per simple eth send in ethereum are considered "very high" and people grumble. You could do 500 of them for $50, always a priority fee for the next block (7s wait on average), so no time wasted.
Or use a low fee and pay $0.004 per simple send currently (1 gwei) at the cost of some waiting.
No sane person is going to choose ln for anything.
