So, Corekeks, explain me the bright future that you are seeing. I am really trying to understand.

BTC has been getting full blocks already since end of March. This has led to the transaction count stalling. It is now even reversing and going down. This does definitely not look like progress/adoption.

Do you think wearing underwear tight enough to hold poo in is a good idea for concealment or is it better to have loose boxers such that in the all to common event you can find a quiet corner or a desk to shake your leg in and dispose of the offending item?

Furthermore, it also has stalled people joining LN. LN was gaining traction (extremely slowly, but still), yet on-chain problems have made even LN adoption stall and reverse.

Active addresses falling is a clear sign of more and more people leaving.

Wtf is supposed to happen from here on? What will keep BTC afloat?

scaling is a meme. forget how many txn/sec visa does...how long does it take to "settle" with visa?
when you look at actual bank-to-bank speed, it takes days. settling in a few hours with btc is still multiple times faster than any traditional alternative

thinks adding bitcoin days is a negative. how new are you? adding BTC-days is always positive.

Not a single serious answer.
I should probably come back during a workday, when there are more people on the Blockstream payroll here.

You are wrong, there are many projects that can handle 50k tps, the point is that BTC on layer 1 is more like gold than cash
So at the end of the day doesn’t really matter if tx are low, someone else will be “cash” (not BCH, not BSV, nor any other fork, to handle 50k+ tps and fast confirmations a full rewrite is needed)
BTC in the long term will always be an hedge against FED/ECB printing machines, so BTC is my retirement fund, my 401k

The funny thing is that bsv is set up to run second layer nodes also

Those projects also have like 1/20 the amount of nodes and make huge compromises to reach that

They are not yet released
Just look at Solana, it can easily do 50k tps with crazy fast confirmation without even using sharding
It’s just the best and the fastest layer 1 out there

It's a worthless dinosaur shitcoin that has failed in every single thing it promised it would do. If you have to wait three fucking hours for transactions to happen, and transaction costs soar more and more, what is the damn point of it? At some point, probably in a few years when it becomes an even more unusable piece of shit, it'll be wise to jump ships or you'll be kept holding the heaviest bags in history.

As I see it, bitcoin can only go two ways: either 1) some technological breakthrough or change in the code solves the problem of increasing tx times and costs or 2) it will eventually be replaced by something better, faster and that at the very least works.

In my opinion it is more likely to be the latter. BTC will be the MySpace of cryptocurrency. It might survive one or two bullruns at most before it goes down the shitter and not even normies, no matter how much mainstream media hype, will ever want to buy.

You are unironically watching suicide in slow motion. Happens everytime socialist central planners take over. Btc dominance would be over 95% had Core devs not imposed 1mb blocks and let Buterin build on btc. Can imagine all erc20 tokens built natively on btc?
This is the future for bsv btw. Easy money.

LN looked good at first to me but i dont like it anymore. BTC has failed as a currency, the volatility has kiled it. I see the same problem for BSV to be fair. Deflation is utterly retarded and you learn that in Econ 101 that if you can choose between Deflation and Inflation a small amount of Inflation (sub 2%) is always preferential. I know Craig has multiple masters but i have seen his diplomas. He was a shit student largely scoring C's. So im not suprised he missed that detail.
IF a "Bitcoin" is to become global money it needs to have inflation and stability built into it, preferably by attaching the minting of new coins to the price of fiat.
