It's hitting $1000. It's impossible to logically determine the value of 1 LINK. Alot of it will be staked by nodes. Some will be posted as collateral for smart contracts. Some will be held by speculators. The more smart contracts, the greater the demand for LINK.

I’ve got 100k chainlink. Lucky for me I’ve been learning how to set up my own node for the past 2 years on the side. I’ve got some nice APIs I’ll be able to provide sports data for sports betting contracts. Not sure if you guys have heard of fan duel before but somehow was able to pull off being an investor. Chainlink will make them obsolete and all sports betting will be on the blockchain. My guess is 2022 but I’m a very patient person.

Literally no one on this board knows anything about Link. There's legitimate question as to whether the project even exists or if it's just a meme that took on a life of it's own.

literally fucking google "chainlink whitepaper" you waste of air.
The price of chainlink will be fueled by demand for tokens aka use of the network by big companies as well as speculation by the public

The same thing that determines the value of everything else in the world, anon.

Supply &
Demand

In Chainlink's case, we're looking for network usage, or demand, which will determine staking gains, which will determine supply, or number of circulating tokens on the open market.

If there's a high network usage, you can bet that supply will be low. $1,000/LINK could be fud in this case, realistically. However, with minimal network usage, people won't care to stake & supply will be high. So low demand, high supply. LINK could be worth less than what it is now in this case. A lot less.

Only time will tell what becomes of us :) Good luck.

Instant payments wagie. You wage an hour you are paid that hour as soon as it's finished. Wage for me das rite

It’s not just network usage that will determine the price. Fundamental questions such as how much are you willing to insure your billion dolllar contract if something goes wrong, Essentially chainlink is a massive use case for security insurance

The problem being sirgay hasn't come out and said there will penalty and collateral directly implemented and actually requiring link.

It's super easy to enforce it as a contractor, just demand whoever does business with you uses an easy external collateral SC...but then the "stake" can be in any digitized store of value, doesn't have to be link.

Would hurt the scarcity significantly.
