14854877 No.14854877 [Reply] [Original]

Is the FaceApp selling personal info and sensitive facial mapping data or "losing" it in a hack a buy signal for dApp coins? Would dApps prevent this type of "selling sensitive information"?

If so, this is a huge buy signal for iExec considering it would easily allow for the decentralization of any centralized app. Imagine using dApps instead of apps because every shitty fucking app nowadays just steals your personal information and sells it to hackerniggers so they can make deepfakes of you having sex with animals and blackmail you for money with the contacts they stole from the info you gave them.

Is no one on biz interested in this?
For context: That FaceApp that generates an "older looking you" is gathering and storing everyone's facial mapping information and info people gave access to(name, phone number, contacts, etc). They are a Russian developed app and it will most likely end up as them selling that information to the highest bidder. This will generate incredible amounts of potential deepfake ransom attacks on unsuspecting people.
