Thoughts? Thinking about doing this instead of being a wagie.

Only suitable if youre under 26 in mostly any major city that isn't freezing. I knew a guy that did that and bought a dodge sprinter and bought a monthly parking spot in a garage downtown for 120/mo and a planet fitness membership. Saves you tons of money. You risk safety and whatnot but for a year or two of saving money it might be worth it.

Legacy wagon owner here. I can lay flat in the back. It's pretty nice. I don't sleep in the car anymore though. Don't consider this unless you have something to do all day and only sleep in the car. Have a shower place. Your car will stink pretty quick if you don't. It's mostly not worth it. Buy a cheap trailer and park in at a campsite.

Get a gym membership for showers- I used planet fitness. Parking is tricky. I never did it in the city, I would pick streets that didn't have any buildings on them (Waiting to be developed). I got in trouble with police for sleeping in a neighborhood and sleeping outside my gym, but I didn't get fined, just got kicked out and had to move locations. I did all my car dwelling in the spring when it was cold, not sure how to handle it now that its hot. Make sure to keep your spots on rotation. Pick like 7 spots you can sleep at night. Rotation keeps suspicion down. No music, no littering. You're there only to sleep arrive late and leave early, you shouldn't have to leave your car. Meals were tough, fast food was my goto. I tried cooking in the suv but I failed. Space is tight, get rid of shit you don't touch. I was bad about that.

You will have to pay for transport anyways in a big city. Gas is a non-factor, these vehicles don't burn much more than a regular car. It replaces your regular car, so maintenance is the same shit. Parking spots run maybe $100-250/mo, which isn't bad considering you have access to a vehicle in a major city (most people don't), unless they own a decent house/apartment there (very expensive proposition).

I regularly wake up in the middle of the night because of the heat. I have to leave the AC on while sleeping. Other than that, Ive been saving a lot of money. I used to park in my medical school parking garage because I have access but one day I found a homeless dude hanging around in the garage. Scared the fuck out of me and deemed it was no longer safe to park there. You never know with these desperate people. They might get ideas and somehow break in your car and kill you in your sleep. The garage itself has 24 hour security and has a camera in the entrance so he might be gone for good but I'm just playing it safe. Nowadays I park in my nearest rest area about 17miles from where I work. I shower everyday for free in the school gym and I cook inside the school at night. I only eat one meal a day so.. I don't fap anymore and feel great. There are pros and cons... Might not be for everyone. Ama

he might be, saying that his blurry picture is of a visage of an older male. The give away is the MPB and the width of his face. He might be in his 20s but is more likely in his early 30s.

Only feasible somewhere with a moderate climate. Anywhere between SF and Vancouver to be barely hospitable

>> No.14849034

Would not recommend if you can't own a gun and live in a cold climate. I did this for a month and while I could own a firearm in my state I had work and friends and events in the neighboring state where I had no permit to carry plus I live in a cold ass climate and by February I was basically staying in hotels and AirBNBs to not die

did this for a 9 months during my senior year of college. had a cargo van but didn’t really deck it out or anything. actually helped my academics since i was hanging out at the library so much

I have a prius as well and might be in a situation that I have to do this

do you have your windows tinted? is the car insulated enough? do you have to crack your windows or do you run AC all night? does your car leak oil when running? do you have a mattress and sleeping bag? do you have any way to flatten the back (there's a slight bump)? how much gallons do you burn when you run the AC overnight? does anyone bother you? do you feel cramped?

I’ve spent extended amount of time in a Prius in Florida during the summer. I’d have the car on, with the AC running at all times, was great. I’d step outside and close the door, and the entire car would be wet from condensation.

Any tips for staying obscure? I wanna live in a van, but I feel like big RV's are targeted because druggies usually live in them.
The rent around where I live is bottoming out at $1500/m, and there's no way I'm throwing that much money away.

Yes

is the car insulated enough?
When the sun is shining at your face in the morning, it can get really hot. I would recommendsleeping early and waking up at 6-7am

do you have to crack your windows or do you run AC all night?
Both
does your car leak oil when running?
Not that I've seen
do you have a mattress and sleeping bag? Semi mattress check pic above.
do you have any way to flatten the back (there's a slight bump)? I'm looking for a new mattress as well check pic
how much gallons do you burn when you run the AC overnight? .5-.8 gallons
does anyone bother you?
No but if they do (homeless guy) I just go to another remote location . I'm pretty comfy at this rest area now
do you feel cramped?
Not really

The absolute state of US Wagies LMAO.
Enjoying your carhome yet wagekek?
How is real estate over there?
Pathetic that millennials these days dont want to comute from cheaper places but rather pay 80% or more from their wage to overpriced condos which they also share with 2 other niggers kikes or mexicans.
I know coworkers from my job who pay 1000€ for a 60 m2 condo in a big city here in germany in the west and that faggot earns 1800€ after tax. He is living from his girlfriends wage KEK
Enjoy living welfare like living poor single millennials

just means landlords put up rent. it's more likely that landlords will be targeted in an attempt to stop endless homelessness.
