Why haven't you sold your brainlet coins and invested into liquid gold aka honey?

- honey never expires, jars found in egyptian tombs found to be 100% pure and edible
- honey becoming more desired as health concerns over corn syrup mount
- honey supply dwindling every year as bee populations are decimated by colony collapse disorder
- honey bee extinction inevitable in our lifetimes at current rate, resulting in a hard bullrush on honey (perfect time to sell before bee cloning begins)

>It's very hard to store properly

incorrect, any random jar will do. doesn't even have to be airtight

>it does lose quality over time.

incorrect, it crystallizes over time but can be re-liquidated just by heating it. this does not affect the honey whatsoever.

honey doesn't degrade like other food products because it's a potent antimicrobial agent. in upper-end hospitals manuka honey is used as a wound dressing

Absolutely incorrect heating honey past 96 degrees Fahrenheit destroys the enzymes in honey that give it it’s health benefits. On hot days bee’s fan their honey to keep the honey cool. If the honey gets too hot bee’s will abandon their hive.

Raw cold pressed unheated honey is the only honey that’s good. Anything else is jewified.

This is naturalist bullshit. You are equal to the people who think GMO food is polluted. The only thing of any consequence that heating destroys is botulism spores.

If you're trying to make fast money with honeybees you want to rent them as pollinators as >>14818528 says

The problem is they don't make good honey when you do that, because all of the pollen they use for the honey comes from one place. For good honey you want lots of diverse pollen, so "wild-feeding" the bees is ideal. Anyway, to answer your question, it would not cost a lot in equipment, a few thousands, but would take a lot of your time.

>>14818735
I would look at the "biodiversity" of the land, more and different types of plants (not just flowers even) is the best bet. And climate matters of course.

Proximity to a farm is also bad. You don't want a piece of land that is near a farm, because bees will go a long way in searching, and if they find agriculture it can give you one-dimensional honey

>How much does a bee colony cost?

A lot of people make their own colony boxes, if you order online it's like $150-$300. Bees and queens can also be ordered online, about $50-$100 for a colony worth, or if you are a bad enough dude, wrangle bees for free from your local area and use them for your colonies. Wild bees are often quite resilient.

>How do you harvest honey without getting rekt by bees?
You puff a little bit of wood smoke into there, the bees all go home and become docile (it's an instinctive thing due to forest fires)

>Is it easy to process?
Define "easy", there are various methods. I think the easiest method uses a centrifuge https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVVJsbin9yM

>Who do you sell them to?
Pretty much up to you, there is no law like you have to sell to a dealership like with cars
