i still have 5k EUR worth of crypto (btc) left that i haven't cashed out yet.

my gains are 50% from bitmex and the rest from bitcoin and some alts in 2017. i stopped trading/holding alts since january 2018

i've been very conservative. i wish i had the guts to trade larger positions back in 2017. i could've had a lot more. anyway still happy with my gains

>> No.14729814

>>14728922
It could if you got in before 2017. That was the golden bull. Normies got rekt so hard they won't be back for a while and now US regulators are cracking down on shitcoins hard so the days of 100x moon are gone. Sorry to break it to the newfags but those days are gone.

>> No.14729945

>>14729480
it was definitely not impossible in 2017. back then there were lots of inefficiencies in the market. combine that with the low margin requirements on bitmex (1%) and you could get insane gains even without taking that much risk

unfortunately those days are gone

To clarify, early 2017 denotes anytime before the March of Normies flooded the board with newfags and made posting unbearable and threads die quickly after March 2017

Anyway, I'm still here
Didn't really put in enough to make all that much, lost $1000 gambling on shitcoins like xby and unironically Le Penne coin, put the rest mostly into eth but I came out with a nice $12,000 at the age of 20

What’s your opinion on QNT? It looks like it’s already ran it’s run but it’s supply is still low for its price. Is there anything that could hinder its price in the future, such as a higher price restricting ultility? I fomod in late to qnt, but I’ve also been using it to store my account as the others crash. I think it could potentially go up a lot higher especially if alt season hits or banking news comes out. It’s supply is much less than eth so I think we could still see some gains.

Mined 70k dogecoin in 2014
Got back into crypto in 2017, sold my doge for $20 kek and wired 5k to buy up ETH.
Flipped ICOs doubling or 4xing whatever I put in. Got into CFI, AE, PAY, LINK, RCN, WABI, DOCK, and HOLO. Only one from ICO I kept is 1300 LINK.
Tried my hand at trading with less success, but "diversified" into a mix of BTC/BCH/LTC/DASH. Never traded on margin, too risky for my appetite.
Eventually dump 80 ETH into ICX the day it was listed on binance, saw my portfolio ATH hit 750k a few weeks later.
My /makeit/ number was 1.5million so I fell for the hodl meme. Should have been easy in this market when everything is 2xing every other day, right? And ICX is a promising project that's not a scam so it should be safe to hold, it's going to be the next stellar after all, at least $30 - so I thought.
Portfolio dropped to 600k and I thought it'd rebound within a few weeks, sold about 30k to cover taxes I owed from trading crypto to crypto, but it kept dropping over 2018 and I hit an ATL around 30k.
Worth around 60k now, ICX gooked me hard, I don't really trade or flip ICOs anymore, just holding and waiting. Since I have at least 1 BTC I'll make it eventually.
The one thing keeping me sane is that even if I sold the top, I would need to work at least 5 more years to hit my /makeit/ number, so I'd be right where I am today either way. If I haven't made it in the next 3.5 years though I'll probably just neck myself.

Migrated majority of 4chan time from /pol/ to /biz/ by Jan/Feb 2017. Cut my teeth - aka lost BTC- trying to swing and margin trade shitcoins and 4chan pnd’s. Hopped on crypto twitter. Advised coworkers on antshares eth etc but didn’t have the income then to really make a dent. Watched the weak hands sell early with meager 5-10k gains. Kept learning. Kept saving and paying off credit cards, started buying btc. Spread to monero, stellar, neo, iota, req, Tron, the usual suspects. Rode the wave through end of 2017- but one coin kept popping up on my radar. So of course, I then consolidated everything into LINK during the apocalyptic crypto winter/early spring and kept buying In 2018 through September or so to lower my avg cost.... bought some more BTC Jan-May 19 and immediately transferred to binance to exchange for Link. Went to Europe on vaca a few weeks of June and came back up ~100k. A few announcements and Coinbase listing, here we are up $180k despite recent movements. Altho I took out $20k for bills and a new car, so really up about $160k now in usd value.
