They are cutting rates because of the China/US question though AND there is a general slowdown in Europe.

The May trade impasse took a shit on the markets and it looked as if it was going to get worse, but Trump came out and did a big turnaround deal with Mexico and then called Xi and gave out a concession (no more tariffs until G20) for the talks to continue.

Then at G20 he gave away Huawei. He's got nothing in return. In his mind he got promises by China to buy agricultural products while the negotiations continue, but there has been nothing from China to confirm this at all.

If Trump completely caved in on the China question, I have no doubt that the market will become a "rocket ship" as he says.

If all his bluster about evening up trade only came to a slightly better deal though, he has doomed the USA to relinquishing it's no.1 status in the world economy in the late 2020s.

Jerome isn't here to fight China. He just wants to review the data and try and to his best to keep the economy functioning for the largest number of Americans.
Jerome isn't a trader, the primary mission and duties of the federal reserve are only tangentially effected by trade.

besides that main problem with your post, most of your individual points about the status of the US-China trade negotiations are alleged (by you) at best, else wrong.

Depends. Q2 earnings are coming up at the end of the month. Lisa Su already said that Q2 is going to be weak for obvious reason (aka the Ryzen 3000 release - nobody is going to buy old shit before a superior new generation is about to released), but Q3 is going to be strong due to Ryzen and Rome releases. If she gives a hint about how Ryzen is selling so far (like hotcakes), it might shoot up. Q3 earnings might be where the real money lies.
