Started with 2k in 2017
Reached a peak of 17k, mostly through the LINK ico and some other alts
Bought a nice laptop at the top, paid for a vacation for gf and I, ordered expensive food and bought lots of weed all through 2018 while not having a job and holding btc all the way down
Currently have $400 dollars left.

I regret my actions pretty immensely. I at least could have cashed more out instead of watching btc grind down for a whole year. I won't make the same mistake again.

I invested $120k in August-September 17 Coinbase Limits was a pain in the dick so I used local btc for 80% of after China ban crash.
BTC was $3600. I kept 10 and dumped the rest into alts and ICO’s . I wanted to die when btc was pumping And my alts was dead. I cashed out btc to CB @ $18k to cover my investment and $60k profit.

I had no bitcoin but I had a stack of get lucky coins that all got lucky.

To be more clear. I wasnt actually "wrong" about every coin. I got quite a few good predictions... in theory. Problem was, almost EVERY time, Id fuck it up by getting greedy, then getting mad when things didnt play out perfectly, bag hold while crying, sell at the bottom for a new shitcoin, repeat.

I spent too much time on biz as well. I knew all along that you need to do more research than browse 4chan, but I still fell for every trick in the book.

I have suffered extreme mental health problems from crypto. For me, it wasn't the amount of risk I was taking, it was the chart-gazing, the forums, the fomo and panic trading, etc etc. I now have more than 90% of my entire net worth in one altcoin alone and I could not be comfier or calmer about the whole thing.

It's the short-timescale trading and flipping and indecision that fucks your brain up. Even if you cashed out completely, you would likely still panic when BTC does 10x in a few years.

I've been through a similar thing, and clearly we can't trust ourselves to "just be calm and just hold the right coins this time", because something in our nature make us prone to over-trading/gambling/panic or whatever.
