i unironically read the Chainlink whitepaper again yesterday so that I could finally make my dad understand it..
I explained it to him several times already but he didnt get it.
Today I explained it to him in a way even a kid with downs would have went all in..
And he still didnt get it and responded with "You know, back in the days I made a lot of money by playing roulette at the Casino Wiesbaden, but this doesnt mean that roulette is a good investment. Its the same with your ChainlinkCoins, you made a lot of money and now you think its smart but its just a coincidence."
Fucking german boomers, how can you compare decentralized oracles with fucking gambling, how fucking retarded is this generation?

I worked at the local utilities company as an operator for 30 years. I was able to retire at 55 due to their pension program I told my son to get off his ass and find a company that offers a pension and will train him.

This is beyond any cognative reasoning abilities.
I had some boomer friends late 50's 60's that I worked with who were all about crypto. But they let their son's put the money in and do all the leg work.

He's not wrong, this market is as speculative as gambling. At keast with the stock market the fluctuations are minimal unless the market is crashing in its entirety, which then begs to question several other economic factors around the globe. Crypto on the other hand is a zero sum game of bagholders who got dumped on by other bag holders and the higher in the chain you go, the bigger the bag holder is... Kinda like a pyramid of some sort...
