300 is plenty. The highest rate of return on link staking will be this year. This is because the price is still low, and not many are currently staking. You need to own link to earn link, and if you start staking now I’d bet you turn that 300 stack into a few thousand at least before the price rises to the point where you only earn fractions of a link per day.

Basically your 300 stack allows you to be the dude mining bitcoin on his laptop in 2011.

question. pls answer.

I read up on collateral. yes jobs require a LINK collaterall eventually but this also means the more expensive LINK gets the less tokens will be required as collateral. so the main force driving chainlink price (despite the inverse correlation regarding collateral) will be network effect i.e. massive adoption? ty

The price of link will be equal to the value of the data it validates + speculation. That’s why early staking will pay more link. Late staking will pay fractions as the price of link grows.

Can i get a QRD on linkpool? What is it and how are the prices? I see something like price of 34 eth for .08 LP and total eth of 2.7 eth. What does that mean? One LP is several hundred eth then? How much does one LP share cost?

They’re a staking service that has worked closely with the chainlink team. You give them your link, they take 25% of the rewards and you get the rest. Since they are the operator, they pay any fees or penalties that arise. They operate a decentralized exchange, and will operate ethereum and link nodes. They will pay subscription to various api’s and build custom adapters to the chainlink network. Basically they are doing all the work so that brainlets can put their stake down and earn traditional dividends.

For those of us who are dumb or don’t have the capital to set up a neet node they’ll probably be the best bet until other services arise or you can set up your own node.

LP = LinkPool. LinkPool shares earn you a cut of their profit, forever, paid in LINKs. There are 1000 LP shares. 1000 LPs get 6% of the total profit they make. Divide that by however much LPs you have.

>> No.14689661

Just from holding LP shares? How does staking Link come into it then?

>> No.14689689

>>14689240
>>14689374
Yeah but think about how staking works. People are going to sell off their staking rewards and they’ll need an exchange to do that. LP’s DEX could become the highest volume exchange for Link, and they’ll sure expand their business to other types of services as well. Imagine being paid out a fraction of Binances’ fees. LP could be a real winner.

>> No.14689719

>>14689661
Staking link is separate from holding LP shares. You don’t need to own shares to stake, but if you own shares you get paid a portion of their profits.

It's how they raised initial capital. Pool splits 25/75 for staking, but then distributes from their 25% another 25% (6.25%) for their initial investors.

It's also only going to allow share holders the chance to stake on their service at first. Shouldnt be a huge problem for us retard normies with linkforrest and others coming into the space to compete.
