14617945 No.14617945 [Reply] [Original]

Managed to talk the wife into buying some LINK last august, our average buy in was 27c . We put in just over £3000 and im sure you can do the maths, have so far watched the gamble pay off. Since doing so with the rcent price rise my wife has been on a major shilling campaign and my mother in law and sister in law have bought in already, her friends at work now want to buy in, and are as we speak making accounts on coinbase to buy. The question i have is how can i explain in easy to understand terms what it is and what it does, baring in mind that her colleagues dont kniw what a blockchain is. The reason i would like some help is because i can esplain pepe the frog memes to them and what a discord tranny is but im struggling to come up with a coherrent explanation and we are going to her works bbq next week where im due to fill in all her friends on the tech.

Don't shill your degenerate gamblings to people, they'll blame you when it goes down. Just say it data can't be automatically transferred from offchain providers onto the blockchain, and Chainlinks allows them to. Hence the name, a link to the blockchain.

This is probably the best way I can explain it.
Bitcoin is kind of like a tree, right? It has rings and stuff which can't be changed and you can open it up and look at the history and agree where all the rings are. And ethereum is kind of like the leaves. They're scattered around the branches off of the tree and have veins and shit on them for writing things on. But when you write on one, it copies over to all the other leaves. Which is good because if you look at 1 leaf you'll know that it is legit if it says the same things as the rest of the leaves.
So this is where Chainlink comes in. Chainlink is like a nigger jerking off on to the soil at the base of the tree. His cum is kind of like the external data which your bitcoin tree feeds to the ethereum leaves. So basically feeds the tree with stuff that it needs to give to the leaves which are asking for nutrients and stuff. Hope this helps.

/biz/ or crypto in a nutshell. If people actually understood Chainlink they wouldn't touch it. People think "it's just a JSON parser" is a fud meme but it's actually true. Its nothing spectacular and can be implemented by ETH itself within a couple of days (and probably will in 2.0)

Hear my warnings, unbelievers. Carried to your minds by the power of the Prince of Chaos himself. We have raised altars on this board so that we may sacrifice you to our god. Veterans of ten years of unholy shiposting wait to grind you beneath the treads of their mighty posts. The chosen of Kek hunger to add you to their bloody tally. The Meme God himself has marked this board, and will claim your memes for his collection. There is no hope in opposing the inevitable. Bend the knee, unbelievers, and bow before the forces of Chainlink Undivided.

That's another thing. There is no "partnership" between Google and Link. One of their employees or teams decides to offer Link on one if their services just like there are tons of SHITCOINS available for deployment of Microsoft Azure. Its funny how people try to justify not actually understanding what Link is and how it works by saying "Google partnered with them" which isn't even true as I've just explained

Smart contracts are the light bulb of the future. Link is the electricity to power that new light bulb.

Sports/supercar and gas if they're too stupid to understand the impact of the light bulb.

Blockchain is a group of computers connected together that forms a defacto supercomputer. But it's a brain with no eyes, ears, arms, or legs. Link allows this supercomputer brain to see, hear, and interact with the outside world...turning it from a vegetable steven hawking, into a 400iq semi-AI being that will fundamentally change the world as you know it. A slightly less dark version of skynet/the matrix...and everything it does requires LINK to function.

It's not going to be some humanoid I AM ROBOT mopping floors and picking fruit that's going to fuck up modern civilization; It's the elimination of 95% of do-nothing office jobs that are going to disappear overnight from smart contracts and the tech/inventions that spawn from that infrastructure or backbone.

Like a next generation credit card machine. It's a transaction facilitator. This is the first step to global, fully automated supply chain management. Endless usecases. If something needs to be verified and paid out (shipping, insurance, farming, orders, etc.) Chainlink can facilitate the end to end completion of the task using real world inputs and pay with the banking APIs described by PSD2, which has deadlines in September.

Alternatively: I get spammed to death with "LEL TESLA, LEL AUTOPILOT, LEL SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR JOB DUMMY" as a truck driver. The reality is doctors, lawyers, and anyone that works in an office is going to get BTFO by machine learning and automation (SC) YEARS before a fully automated end to end self-driving semi truck.

Much like dumb niggers that post on reddit and claim others "don't know anything about blockchain" because they read a wikipedia article once....normies and soicucks can't even begin to see the big picture, that's only a couple years away.

Just explain them what a smartcontract is, and link is basically feeding the smartcontract with data via link nodes. Once the data fed from nodes matches with the contract parameters, the terms of the contract is put in effect.
The nodes will lose their staked link and reputation if they differ from consensus, which incentives feeding true data. The parties of the contract chooses how many nodes they want to use for validating the contract. More nodes = higher cost and higher security.

You completely contradicted yourself. Yes, trucks will autopilot soon on the highway. They already basically do, with lane departure warnings and adaptive cruise control. There will still be someone sitting in the seat, until the distant future where you can remote in.

Paralegal/anything outside of boomer tier court appearances is already done by Algos.

Doctors are obsolete, and basically have been since WebMD was a thing, with only (((big pharma))) keeping them legislated into relevancy.

It's glaringly obvious what trust-less, automatic contract execution will do to the world. It will literally save the trucking company I work for 80-90% of their overhead, and 75%+ of their workforce. Those numbers are ridiculous, and should be insanely scary (or exciting for link holders).
