According to Binance, LINK is the most uncorrelated major cryptoasset in the entire market! No surprise, though, as we could already tell we've been decoupling from BTC for a while now.

Very interesting indeed.

This means that when BTC moons LINK will dump. You've been warned.

uncorrelated =/= negative correlation

Linear (Pearson) correlation or rank (Spearman) correlation though?

I think they probably used linear correlation because that is the usual default. But this is probably biased due to the large percentage changes in crypto prices.

Also why are there no negative values? These numbers don't make any sense.

This is correct but then there should at least be a few negative values in the chart.

I think whoever made this chart either went full retard or it isn't actually showing correlation but something else.

Link is a premined shittoken on top of an infinite supply shitcoin that gets raped by cats and is led by communists. It's time in the limelight will soon come to an end.

BSV will devour the entire market. Maybe Sirgay will develop ontop of BSV as your "blockchain agnostic" meme would indicate, but unfortunately for stinkies this means your eth/link token falls to zero and there is no token to use services on BSV. You just pay in Bitcoin. All tokenomic niggers must hang.

if you read binance's actually report that explains this chart, you will know that they said no crypto went negative. chainlink still vaguely followed bitcoins overall movements excluding the news catalysts.

The fiat onramp from Coinbase should further decouple it to the point of eventual negative correlation...

Thanks, I just did a google image search and found their report. They say:

"Additionally, no single pair of cryptoassets exhibited a negative correlation, which indicates that the influence of idiosyncratic factors on the performance of individual coins is still relatively minor, and individual cryptoasset prices are still heavily influenced by overall market changes (as highlighted in our previous report1)."

It also says this is for Q2 2019 only.

So then this makes sense, because in Q2 2019 pretty much all coins went up, so they all had positive correlation.

But then I would be interested in seeing a similar chart over a much longer timeframe, where some coins go up and others go down.

Also it looks like they calculated the correlations in terms of USD. I wonder if it would be better to do them in terms of percentages. If you use USD, then everything is dominated by coins with large prices in terms of USD.

Interesting stuff, I didn't know they did these reports.

WAVES has low correlation because it dumps regardless of what the rest of the market does.
