If you lost $500,000 on a single trade which constituted the entirety of your bank roll, you're in fact a shit trader no better than some novice starting off with a small account and either a) blowing it up at small size or b) growing it to enormous size through sheer luck and THEN blowing it up. In you're case, you're "a" but you'd have been better off being "b" because it would have spared you the ego and belief that you have any clue what you're doing both of which are going to cost you way more down the line. There are a lot more people sucking dick under a bridge, dangling from a noose, or sitting with a needle in their arm in the "b" category.
