They're actually killing the SaaS and cloud world right now, plus they pay a decent div, while they may be overbought a little, AMZN certainly is by a good margin. Either way both of those stocks will grow. I'm shocked that FB hasn't seen a truly successful competitor yet, but it will one day and that makes me question the wisdom of buying and HODLing them. If they can make their crypto stick and be widely used they're a HODL forever (until it becomes unlinked to their services in some way) but I'm not willing to bet on this.

Yeah, but do remember that Acreage is now either fucked or owned by CGC thanks to the worst deal in the history of pot, including that time I was sold oregano in freshman year. Also HEXO and CGC are both backed by companies that do extensive American business. And there's European expansion as well. Personally I'm in CGC and I'm eyeballing getting back into KAYS. SIML is an interesting pennyshit that's leaning towards weed right now. They make AV production and CBD extraction equipment. I've been selling at every spike and buying back when it returns to norm. Make 4k off 500 so far, but it's pump and dump shit with a possible long term upside.

It's probably a bit of both. All of the highschool/college fags who think they're going to get rich on crypto now have more time. In addition to this there are the alternative SMGs being formed (discord/IRC). 14487686

Whenever I get a package of Starbursts, I make it my duty to continue the strength and robustness of the candy as a species. To this end, I hold Starburst trials.
Taking two candies between my thumb and forefinger, I apply pressure, squeezing them together until one of them compresses ans squishes. That is the "loser", and I eat the inferior one immediately.
The winner gets to go another round

I have found that in general, the cherry and lemon Starbursts are tougher, and the orange ones are genetically inferior. I have hypothesized that the orange Starbursts as a race cannot survive long in the intense theater of competition that is the modern candy and snack-food world.

Occasionally I will get a mutation, a candy that is misshapen, or harder, or stickier than the rest. Almost invariably this proves to be a weakness, but on very rare occasions it gives the candy extra strength. In this way, the species continues to adapt to its environment.
When i reach the end of the pack, I am left with one Starburst, the strongest of the herd. Since it would make no sense to eat this one as well, I pack it neatly in an envelope and send it to Wm. Wrigley Jr Company P.O. BOX 3900 Peoria, IL 61614, along with a 3x5 card reading, "Please use this Starburst for breeding purposes."

This week they wrote back to thank me, and send me a coupon for a free 3 pound bag of Starbursts. I consider this "grant money." I have set aside the weekend for a grand tournament. From a field of hundreds, we will discover the True Champion.

And I’ve been seeing those beautiful stocks that keep me up at night thinking about them this year so far, but most of them are now off of their lows.
Now that we are ATH’ing again, it’s hard to find anything that feels cheap, everything feels neutral value or overpriced

LCI gets shilled here a fair bit. If you believe the narrative (I do! I believe!), it is pretty cheap and has room to grow significantly, maybe 5x or more. Other generic pharmaceutical stocks (e.g. Teva, Mylan) also look cheap now and are worth looking at. I also like Office Depot stock (ODP). Just to look at it from one angle, it's been averaging something like $0.35 EPS over the last few years. That being said, simplywall.st does a very reasonable job for many companies at showing debt levels, past and future earnings, book value, and recent insider sells in a quick “dashboard” style.
But if you want to be warren the buffest you will at the bare minimum need to review all earnings yourself.
Even once you do all that for a certain market segment, some interns working for a bank somewhere have already parsed all that information and priced it into the market because that’s their job...

Again you can’t 100% trust anything. Simplywall.st, just like every other site, either gets their data from a Nasdaq API or by scraping. Just like the TradingView displayed information (the numbers, not the stuff on the graph)
In my experience it’s all 99.8% accurate for any large cap company, with decreasing accuracy for smaller companies.
The most reliable source is to cross-reference the actual earnings reports once you start trimming your list down.
Someone else might be able to suggest a good API or two (they probably will cost money) if you want to get the information into a computer program without scraping it
Really just depends what your scope is

The sweat thing is debunked. Toxins are removed by the liver and kidneys, even in mammals that do sweat (humans), any presence of toxins in the sweat is accidental, not the body actively trying to remove the toxins through sweat. So toxins can be actively removed from pigs the same as humans, and they can also passively or accidentally be removed by any excretion. Just because pigs don’t sweat, one mode of excretion is gone, but there is still the same “matter in, matter out” balance.
If pork has higher toxin levels compared to another mammal by weight, it’s only because you’re feeding it toxic foods, not because pigs don’t sweat

Ok so you have two paths that you can walk down
You can be a nerd investor and try and use math and charts. There are all kinds of books about this. About 5% of the books are good and permanent masterpieces of human wisdom, 20% are good but mostly outdated, and the rest are garbage. So you get the right ideas, one way or another, just to get onto the playing field. But the playingfield is very, very large and there are teams of people who work 8hours a day to find value before you do. They have information and processing power that you don’t. It’s a very hard game to win at, even if you have the right ideas.

The second path is to be a chad investor and follow your heart.
Basically the whole point here is to trade against the numbers, without understanding them. If you start letting any quantitative information into your head you start losing
There are books about chad investing too, but they aren’t investing books, if that makes sense

For heavy metal toxicity, for example, you take a unit amount of tissue sample (for example, a gram), burn it up to atomize it or chemically separate it, then find out what portion of it is heavy metals (can be given in units of mass/mass or number/mass)

For clarity's sake, I wasn't trying to argue that it's impossible to create a definition of toxicity. I was disputing the claim that pork is more "toxic" than other meats. Before being able to prove that pig meat is more toxic than that of other animals, you need to define a measurement of toxicity, and then give empirical evidence justifying the measurement (showing that w show empirical evidence supporting that what is being measured has some significant harmful effect on humans) and the claim that pork is actually more toxic than other meats by that measurement. The anti-pork movement is just a superstitious re-hashing of Jewish/Islamic religious laws.

I got REALLY excited about this when I found it,
This SoftBank OTC stock is below the monthly Bollinger band.

But... the other softbank stocks aren't down like this. And looking at another one, I saw it mentioned a 2:1 stock split. So... looks like not free money after all...

>>14498759
Because of the Olympics, but mostly because the BOJ is heavily pumping Japan with QE, I've been looking into this too. I just discovered that Schwab has some commission free ETF's with Japanese holdings.

JPN looks great, I like how it has much less exposure to Toyota. Unfortunately, it also has a little less exposure to SoftBank.

Problem is, it's got a whopping .09% EXPENSE RATIO
LIKE WHAT THE FUCK?!

I may buy it tomorrow though.

Who's "they"? The expense ratio? That's for an ETF.
JPN: Xtrackers Japan JPX-Nikkei 400 Equity ETF

It's looking really good to me, main complaint is comparatively low distribution yield, .83%.

Since compounding distribution yield (or dividends) is the way to get sick returns from long term holding of index funds, that's a little bit worrying.

But higher distribution yield means higher expense ratio AND higher exposure to Toyota. And I worry about Toyota because it's automobiles and just got it's CEO thrown in prison and that's a bit sketchy.

But I'm sure Japan's government would prop up Toyota if they needed to. I wonder if it'll be a bigger recipient of QE than SoftBank, Sony, etc.

>July 1, 2019 --Chipotle Mexican Grill (CMG) announced that it was the only U.S. company honored at the Compassion in World Farming's Good Farm Animal Welfare Awards. The event celebrated the global momentum that market-leading food companies are generating with higher welfare policies and practices. This year a total of 50 awards recognized policies that would benefit the lives of over 39 million animals each year.

>Chipotle was awarded a Good Sow Commendation in Pig Welfare for its commitment to ensuring that sows are free from confinement during both gestation and farrowing. This means gestation crates are never used for pregnant pigs, and farrowing crates are never used for mother pigs. This action is significant since these crates are so small that pigs cannot even turn around, causing them to exhibit abnormal behavior.

It gives you enough range to not sell at minor variations while still being selling close to the top while riding the gains train. Buy back in when the 15 min RSI looks good. islam started in the desert, where septic systems are scare (or in some cases, nonexistant)
pigs get tons of deadly diseases that can easily pass on to humans when they get near human feces
pigs are smart, and areas with large amounts of human waste will tend to be more moist than thousands of miles of sand
so pork from unsupervised pigs will usually cause deathly illness in humans (especially if its not cooked properly)
banning because God says so is much more easy than trying to explain how infectious diseases are passed on (especially at a time where they dont know exactly how disease works) to illiterate farms

similar reason for most religious dietary restrictions (jewdaism has most of the same restrictions as islam, oddly enough)

another example is how in dense places like in hinduism a cow's milk (yogurt, cheese, ectera) can feed a family of 10 easily for year (and even be able to breed and make more cows!), even decades if it is treated well enough, while eating beef from a cow will not last long

chickens breed fast and dont share many foodborne illnesses with humans, so basically every religion allows for eating as much chickens as you want all day every day (besides various holy fasting days)

That's no coincidence my friend. Around the same time Islam came around, there was a huge war between the Byzantine Empire and the Persian Empire.

Guess where they were fighting.

Yep, totally coincidental.
