do you newfags really think this is all a coincidence?
you really believe sergey thought of this idea himself and created chainlink?

sergey is backed by some powerful interests to say the least. he's a smart guy but chainlink was a honked project from the start. the only reason there was an ICO was to draw suspicion away from these powerful interests.

don't get me wrong, sergey is a brilliant guy but chainlink was created for a specific reason, to kickstart the fourth industrial revolution. just be grateful you fuckers are along for the ride.

i wish i could honestly tell you. i'm not larping or anything.
the simplest answer is we got lucky. there were some theories about who assblaster REALLY was, but nothing concrete. some said he had major connections to the banking cartel, others said he worked for the CIA.

regardless, none of this is a coincidence. there are some very powerful actors working in the background to make sure chainlink succeeds. maybe they don't have regular, or perhaps any, contact with sergey and the team, but they are making sure things stay on track.

did you really think chainlink being anti hype was a coincidence? did you really think the shitty logo was a coincidence?

i really hope we get to find out the truth one day, but for now we remain in the dark.

call it larp or whatever, but something ALWAYS felt off about this project. it never conformed to crypto norms. for 2 years it practically received no attention, the major heads within crypto brushed it aside as a "cute" idea.

Because Big Finance is using LINK to muscle out fintech upstarts. They need to be able to sell the lie that they adopted an industry standard, rather than developing one themselves. This means it has to have been sold on the open market, for a considerable period of time prior to the moon launch. And if the cost of doing business is a bunch of autismal NEETs suddenly become billionaires, then it is.

No! There was an ICO because it had to be decentralised to work, for real. They could have just built a permissioned blockchain for this, but it would always be criticised for being too centralised. Swift's vision of open banking NEEDS a public ledger, and to a certain extent so does Google/Oracle's data economy.

because decentralized oracles are not possible with current common knowledge, and Chainlink is the only one who decided to pretend to be solving it to scam people.

Chainlink is not decentralized oracles, it's centralized, non-sybil resistant oracles.

OK lads. I understand fully how 1k might be fud. Who could have imagined what Bitcoin would eventually be worth? This is bigger.

Now, I'm fully prepared for a networth of around 20-40million, I know what I'd do, and the kind of family I would raise.

But 10 times that? That requires a whole new level of thinking. Who here is actually ready for that kind of networth? It's not life changing money, it's world-changing money. It's enough to start a country if a few of us banded together. It's enough to make a lasting impact for the better on society at large. It's enough to finance art and science and promote our own ideas.

Who among us is ready for that kind of power? Who will be destroyed and who will flourish? Think carefully about this. The future may be yet stranger than any of us can fathom.

there are a multitude of reasons for this, first off the erc-20 is a standard that could in theory be implemented on other blockchains, wich will gelp link be usable on other blockchains. second, link isnt your regular erc-20 token, it has a feature developped by a team member called ERC-677 the transferAndCall method that allows the chainlink network to work in a secure way, by transferring tokens and making a request in 1 atomic call. this is unique to the token.
