>Find a building that's for rent in a suitable location for dispensary.
>Develop a business strategy consisting of how you will obtain the product or if you will grow it or both.
>Get required licenses and such.

Opening a business is literally based on a lottery system, the licenses are applied to by everyone and their momma and the lucky few actually get one. You're too late to open your own dispensary, but you can invest in those who have a license

Insider here. You need connections to the governments of states that are soon to be legal. There you establish a business and make sure it’s going to be 100% legal. Each state has a bunch of random bullshit laws so you use your connections to make sure the new laws will benefit you. On day 1 of legalization you take control of the market and all the wannabe weed entrepreneurs who don’t know any better are fucked because they can’t get the right permits or whatever.

This is how it happened in every state and will continue to happen as more states legalize. Don’t blame the businesses though, they didn’t make the rules. Blame the fucking corrupt state government officials, who get away with this shit since people only give a shit about federal politicians.
