Current public awareness of bitcoin is close to the level it was at $200. You can verify that by google trends by looking for "bitcoin"; "how to buy bitcoin"; "bitcoin price" and other keywords.

I am not surprised, Anybody with a brain would buy things that have a strictly limited supply. That alone makes it infinitely better than any fiat. They're constant deflationary currencies. As a rich person you'd love that.
