Kind of. Hopes of matching ATH? Not likely at all. Hopes of being carried by alt season? That's more feasible.

A lot of shit ALTs will pump hard if BTC dominance takes a fall, alts even shittier than ARK. The question is how battered will the price get before that point.

You're not wrong about the underperformance. The difference is the way that alt season was approached more from the point of view of ARK being overvalued after its spike to ATH.

I don't want to spread false hopes, but I think ARK will be valued higher than it currently is (in fiat) at some point in the future. I wouldn't like to predict by how much though, or by how much it might be outperformed by other crypto. Both of those elements depend less on ARK as a project and more upon general market conditions, so it could still easily continue to be a major disappointment.
