Fuck... Nearly every time I've locked in losses, it's been a mistake. Nearly every time I've sold, too.

Do I take some daytrades now and bail? Yes yes, being long is still my longterm position and the COT supported move, but I want some powder for the pullback.

I have WAY too much money in CGC, even after trimming before earnings. But DCAing seems too dangerous, and selling here seems foolish.

Diversify but not so much (5 stocks maximum). Don't invest in meme stocks. Don't get greedy (1% return is $10,000. Double if you trade on margin). Set a tight trailing stop-loss and adjust when to take out profits. For example if you set a stoploss at -2% only take profits out at 3%.

Know your stock: follow several favorite stocks day-to-day to get an idea about average volume, "good months", "bad months" and "future prospects".

Or just dump all your money in high dividend REITs with 8%+ annual return that's comfy living on 80k per year which comes to $220 dollars PER DAY... what more could you ask for?

It's so undervalued shorts were hoping that the gap down would shake some shares for them to cover with instead a lot of people started stepping in and buying institutional ownership went up as well as short interest. If shorts go to cover theyll move the stock way too much so imo they are trying to suppress the price and play on people's patience.. LCI is trading way to low.. less than 500,000 shares moves the stock over 3%.. imagine if they were to try and cover 20million shares lol

For someone who's 20 max, you talk fairly intelligent and someone who's new here and trying to learn might take your shit seriously and end up losing money. But I remember when you claimed to make "energy portfolios ten years ago." It was right before I explained to you how compound interest works. I remember when you claimed to make 1% a day, and I had to explain to you that if that was remotely possible to do in a sustainable way then no one would work beyond the age 25. To expand on this, remember that if you take in 1% and compound it you'll double your money every 72 days. There is no reason to not be retardedly rich if you can do this. That's doubling your money 3x in a year. If you live modestly for just a couple of years doing that starting with 10k you could be living off of dividends in just 2 years. I think maybe the best way to ease up on student loans in order to create some half-assed stimulus is to forgive all loans still in repayment (in good standing) over 10 years. If people have loans that old and are still paying their monthly, those are probably people who would redirect that money back in to the economy in a positive way.

This is about as commie as I get, I promise.

I just meant that it doesn't make sense from a statistical point of view that these threads are like 3 or 4 standard deviations more gay than the site population. thankfully people usually don't post about their gay/bi desires so most of the threads are oblivious

It's just funny when someone wanders in from outer-/biz/ saying "wow these threads are gay". and they have nooooo idea just how gay it really is haha

also everything you say about gayness is incorrect historically, sexually, and spiritually

I mean I already did sell my KO at ~52 last week, I agree that I don't see them outperforming the market near term from these price levels.
I will say again the only way that you see $30 KO is if the markets go down like 45%. I don't see it happening, period. If you wait until $30 to buy you will be waiting too long

that's the first time I've heard that, is that the official gay stance or your own opinion

like a man's attraction to a woman is strongly biological. of course some women are aesthetically beautiful as well. That means that when I see, smell, taste, feel, and hear a beautiful and fertile woman, she makes me feel all of the desires. the strongest and most impulsive desires, of course, and also the longings for higher things, for the beautiful and divine, all at once

No one is born exclusively gay but identity politics and "gay pride" movements all over the world unironically work against themselves and they started telling people being gay is a "sexual orientation" which is a protected class and works as a political identity and politicians cynically exploit this voting bloc by pandering to it. That's the entire reason this whole issue has been blown out of proportion (because of politicians).

In the animal kingdom the only homosexual behavior displayed is an act of aggression or hierarchical dispute. Human beings are no different.

>It's manly
I am the one who decides what being a man means to me. No one else.
That post that you replied to isn't about manliness as a concept, it's about self-realization and action, it's about being who you are.
I fuck who I want (of course, not everyone I want, but you know how it goes). The things I have sex with are soft and nice and can bear children and produce milkies.
I could mechanically have sex with something without those characteristics but I wouldn't want to do it. But when I make these decisions about who I put my hog in, I'm not thinking 'what is the manly thing to do?', I'm thinking 'what do I want to do'.
hope it makes sense

and, calls might honestly be the play here. But I'm not buying calls. If you do, you might have a nice time.

I would advise that GDX/GDXJ calls are probably better than NUGT/JNUG calls unless you get out a calculator and find some arby
the higher volume on GDX options should result in a tighter spread, more choices on exp and strike, and will be easier to sell out of.
you don't really gain anything from options on leveraged versions of other products, unless someone on the sell side messes up

>>14337098
there are multiple reasons, i will list 3 for you to chew on:

always long term trend for the past decade, investors like large-cap index ETFs (but not small cap index ETFs). so lots of workers and pensions just buy, buy, buy the SPY (and other ETFs and mutual funds that all hold the same big blue chippas)

A lot of the little growth companies get funded/partially bought by big companies during their growth stages, in a way that didn't used to happen. Think about GOOGL having stakes in all of the IPO companies this year (UBER, LYFT, etc.) Silicon valley is this weird sort of incestuous place where the big companies know everything and everyone, and have the most money. So they are always early on funding the next big things, so lots of companies that would normally be small cap growth skip that step, and they skip that step in a way that inflates the market cap of the big chips even more

economic uncertainty, technocratic monopolization: people know the big tech stocks, BRK, KO, etc. will all still be here in a decade or two, still massive and growing and beating out little companies. the way the world works now, almost any event is easier for the big companies to sustain earnings through, while small companies can be wiped out

A couple of other options from my RH portfolio. LCI $5 put looks like it will go for about $0.25, so a 5% return (on your $500) assuming it expires above $5. ODP $2 call looks like it will go for maybe $0.06 or $0.07. If the call expires above $2, that would mean (assuming you buy the shares around the current price), if your calls get exercised, you make about a 7+% profit. If not, even better, you get a 3+% profit from the premium AND you get to keep your shares!
