Guys, I'm afraid to lost all my money again like during the 2017 bullrun
I still don't know where to sell, it looks like it's actually repeating the market cycle thingie, but...

tl;dr how do you know when to sell

You don’t sell all at once, the same way you’re not supposed to buy all at once

I-I'm not?
Oh boy. So Do I buy or sell everytime a resistance is broken?

Use an indicator. You'll never sell at exactly the top or buy at exactly the bottom. The trend is ur fren.

Also, what do you need? If you reach a fiscal goal, sell. No one ever went poor taking profit.

You can what if all day, but conquering the feeling of FOMO is the most successful attribute of consistent gains.

All of the indicators pretty much do the same thing, but it's good to learn them all and pick the one that works.

You never sell. You invest all your savings and go in for the long run (5-10 years) and hold on for dear life. Only then will we reach the promised land.

Interesting, thanks. Is there some sort of consensus on the best indicator and how to used it?

That's basically what I did since the 2017 bullrun, never sold and only now am I getting my original investmnt back. Granted, I fucked with alts and tried to trade cause I was excited so I lost money there too. But I don't think I would have made money, and certainly not "enough" by just holding? With a small investmnt, that is.

Hm ok, I suppose you get a feel for those things. But sometimes it's tricky. LIke right now, if I listened to the tiny bits of intuition I learned by suffering, I would've sold way too early when my ETH and BTC are still going up. But I'll admit it's a very rare situation.

Seriously I lost over half a million by HODLing like a retard, I have to sell at the top this time.
