I took out around $20,000 last year to buy up LP ICO and chainlink tokens
I had a job that earned just above $100,000 a year (post tax) so I was able to pay off the loan relatively quickly and therefore minimized interest charges

if you can't service the debt with your budget and have no revenue or income streams, then no I would not recommend you get a loan
unless you have a financier you can convince (aka your parents) then it's worth a shot

personally i got my parents, brother and a friend involved in these investments last year when I did
they injected their own cash and have done very well for themselves
we're looking how we can leverage our combined holdings for potential smart contract applications or subscription agreements (NaaS, marketplace, pooled staking, etc.)

FWIW (and it's probably not worth much) I believe Link is a promising tech with great potential. Much like when Ether was $4 and all the assclown Ether Classic fags yammered about immutability and the like, I just tune them out. I'll never have to work again thanks to Ether.
