Whats a good crypto to get into right now that I can mine with either my gaming computer on for most of the day or a crappy science rig on for most of the night.

Main rig: AMD FX8350, 16GB ram, Nvidia 1050ti 4gb.

Science Rig is a 4890/phenom 4GB setup running gentoo. You can laugh <here>

Possibly 0xBitcoin but honestly, they're pretty horrible specs for mining. The 8350 will do okay if it's overclocked, but I don't think a single coin would be even profitable for you unless your power was like 6c a unit.

He can speculatively mine 0xBTC (and merge-mine SEDO) with the 1050ti, with the power limit turned down, memory clock -500 MHz and slightly raised GPU core the power use should be less than a light bulb. CPU can mine Cryptonight variants really well, but will eat a lot of power doing it

I was gonna say you're not gonna make it, but actually just undervolt that baby far enough and you'll be profitable. Just mine eth. Anything else can suddenly just get justed forever in price because anything else you can gpu mine effectively is useless.
