Ok if you are a software eng then surely you have some idea of what people would want to pay money for. You probably aren't going to be able to make money doing anything else without retraining. Unless you have some other burning desire to so something completely different starting a biz is just about asking yourself "what would I like to do for other people that they would be willing to pay money for"
