Trump is clawing back a level trading field. Every President since Reagan has allowed corporate America to sell off our GDP to the highest bidder, to get maximized profits. It's healthier for us to sell more, and import less. That's not rocket science. He's a businessman, not a politician, he knows where the problems are, and he's addressing them.

Companies aren't doing stock splits anymore. Amazon is $1700, GOOG and GOOGL are each over $1000, and Berkshire's class A stock is $300,000 per share. (1 person on RH owns BRK.A, I think it was a "free stock" as a publicity stunt or something). Point is, people aren't used to splits anymore, and would likely panic rather than take it as something exciting. SWPPX - I got this S&P 500 index cause it had a lot of good reviews and low expense ratio. Was also cheap (40 - 45ish) and scored pretty good on the Lipper scale. 5's across the board aside from tax efficiency which was a 4. But I think it's Divvy is a shat. Last year it paid out a nice Divvy at 0.71 end of the year. But this year it's only a fraction of that so I dunno. Also according to E-Trade it's gonna pay out twice during December so I dunno if they changed it or what.

Here, take a look at the Salad & Pickles weekly chart with fib lines added. I'm not a big fan of fibby lines but they can be helpful to figure out where supports may form after vigorous selling pressure over a relatively short period of time. Moving over to the daily chart, there are some other reasons for the bounce as well as the strength of the buying today. On June 3 the daily candle fell below the lower bollinger band. No matter what the trend, prices tend to bounce back in to the bollinger band range quickly. Again, by no means an indication of reversal but a valid data point as part of a short term trading strategy. Secondly, today's bull buying was sufficient to break the daily candle above the 200 day simple moving average (yellow line). A break above that line is a buy indicator for a lot of people, which is why today's moved turned out to be as strong as it was. If buying had weakened when the candle approached that line, you would have seen a sell off back down to near low of day.

If things are just going to range up a little on weak-ish volume to provide opportunity for the bears to push down to lower lows, hanging on to your short positions would be the better play. Just use tradingview. Watch the volume on the one hour and 15 minute charts and compare against previous days volume. Also watch how hard the big blue chip companies are moving in whatever direction they're moving.

As for real time TA, I don't, much. Most of my trades are based on a several month projected move up or down. Watching real time price fluctuations isn't that important for me unless it's one of those days where everything is going bananas and nobody knows wudda fug.

It really bothers me how much the financial media breaks down Fed communicationa word by word. These financial analysts from CNBC, Bloomberg, and the big institutions get all hyped up about a few words in a speech and act like it's news that will shake the world. Yeah algos are fed this data and act accordingly, but these fucking frat bros with suits on getting all emotional almost makes me just hate the whole system. The Fed needs to do something about how it communicates with the world, in my opinion the less the better.

I dislike TA when it comes to shapes and patterns, connecting lines to tell the future. But I think things like the Bollingers can be useful, since they're really just tracking based on standard deviations, and it's a more useful way for humans to visualize it than a bunch of numbers.

Apparently head and shoulders has some predictive power, I don't know.
