Nothing. Because the normie faggots are still shitting all over this board. Before the cryptoboom, most people talked about bitcoin. There was very little alt coin discussion. Now that's the only thing people talk about. There isn't going to be another altcoin that comes out of nowhere and takes over the market. That's done. It's over.

HOLOCHAIN

HOLO will be a major threat to AWS in the coming years. Amazon shares were around $6 in 2001 after the dotcom crash and $44 when AWS launched in 2006. Amazon stock is trading at $1909 today with a market capitalization of $931 USD billion.

If HOLO achieves 1% of Amazon AWS's success, HoloChain's marketcap will be $9.3 BILLION.
If HOLO achieves 5% of Amazon AWS's success, HoloChain's marketcap will be $46.55 BILLION.

Think long term people. This project is going to be around for years. This is Binance's top 5 biggest bags. They would never have acquired that much if they had no long term faith in it. oh well we all start somewhere.

Do remember Jeff started out with $250K from his parents. Holo started with $30M ICO so they have a strong base to build upon.

"Jeff Bezos is the richest person alive. And, thanks to him, his parents might not be far behind.

A 1997 SEC filing unearthed by Bloomberg Tuesday finds that Jackie and Mike Bezos invested $245,573 in Amazon in 1995. If they kept their holdings, Bloomberg estimates their shares could be worth $30 billion today.

It’s not known how much stock the couple still owns, if any. But if the publication’s analysis is correct, Jackie and Mike Bezos might be among the top 30 wealthiest people in the world, ahead of Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen and even Tesla CEO Elon Musk."

Honestly Ethereum still wasn't the bitcoin. Bitcoin never started at 50 cents a piece and in the following year climbed up to 12 bucks a pop.

Bitcoin was valueless enough to have people throw at you between 100-1000 FOR FREE. It was like trading Runescape GP.
Advertisement faucets were giving out 1-10 bitcoins for filling out their captchas and clicking on their ads.

AWS is huge no doubt.
But as a systems admin who regularly utilizes these services (S3, S3 Glacier, EC2, CloudFront, R53), I know the stuff HOLO is doing can replace it with far cheaper, efficient pricing, not to mention being decentralized.

I understand nothing will change your view. You'll look at the taxi industry or the Marriott hotel conglomerate and deem startups like Uber and AirBNB to be failures because A) they're already too big. 2) allowing people to host their own nodes = stupid (e.g. social gig economy = trash).. Well, AirBNB was founded just over 10 years ago and today it's worth more than the entire Marriott group ($40+ billion).

If you invested $100K into Uber (gig economy startup), you would of made bank. I know it's hard to understand this new concept, but the gig economy is here to stay. Had you invested in Uber seed stage, the returns would of far exceeded buying Bitcoin at $1.

"The seed stage fund had invested $100,000 into Uber in 2010. The stake is worth $300 million 9 years later, which is a return of nearly 3,00,000 percent for the firm."

What about Netflix?
"When Netflix co-founder Marc Randolph ’80 first pitched the idea that would one day become the worldwide streaming service to his wife, she told him: “That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard.”

While Netflix today has over 130 million subscribers, Randolph said that it was anything but an overnight success. When Blockbuster rejected a business deal with Netflix in 2000, the company was in a very different place than they are now. Netflix was staring down a loss of $47 million with only 100 employees, while Blockbuster boasted 60,000 employees and $60 billion in revenue.

Randolph recalled thinking, “Now we’re going to have to kick their ass. And we did. It took us 10 years, but eventually we drove Blockbuster to bankruptcy.”

While he hopes his story will be inspiring, Randolph encourages hopeful entrepreneurs to take a lesson from that experience. “Anybody can do this,” he said. “Just a handful of people with zero experience in the video industry took down a billion dollar, 60,000-employee company. In fact, you don’t need to be particularly smart. Some of the best entrepreneurs I know aren’t the A students or the B students, they’re the C students.”

Right now HOLO has the best chance of making it (aws competitor) since there's no other project on the horizon doing what they are doing, this far ahead of schedule. To me, Holo will be another "gig economy" startup that may become the Ubers, AirBNBs, Lyft, Udemy of tomorrow. Also, consider the biggest web properties on the Web (YouTube, Google, Twitter, Facebook). All of it is powered by individuals (people making videos, content, sharing, uploading)... yet here we are in 2019 with an Internet that's not powered by individuals but by corporate giants with datacenters, much the same way hotel chains, taxi industry did prior.
