>In the study published in this issue of EBioMedicine, Ruvolo and colleagues have demonstrated that two biochemical cell survival pathways controlled by galectin-3 (a beta-galactoside-binding protein) and cluster of differentiation (CD) 74 (a signalling receptor and a chaperone for major histocompatibility complex type II proteins which are involved in antigen presentation) are cross-linked in a biochemical protein network, which is associated with poor survival of AML patients [7]. Importantly, this invaluable clinical study was performed using samples obtained from a large number of AML patients (511 in total) with newly diagnosed disease when malignant cells normally display high pro-survival and immune evasion activities. The study reports that galectin-3 expression is prognostic for poor survival rate of AML patients. Survival rate of AML patients with galectin-3 positive malignant cells was even lower when CD74-dependent signalling networks (in particular, the one involving transmembrane receptor known as CD44) were active. Intriguingly, the study reported galectin-3 to act as a negative regulator of the protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A), the enzyme involved in deactivation of several intracellular signalling cascades (see below). It was shown that galectin-3 affects regulatory (B) subunit of this enzyme (the enzyme has three subunits – structural (A), regulatory (B) and catalytic (C), [7]).

>> No.13940971

>>13940920
the market isn't like fundamental principles of physics. there is a bit of uncertainty either way. a rate cut could prop up stocks or use up what little tools the feds have to fight off another recession. the feds belief is that the economy is fine and doesn't need any stimulus. trumps admin wants the rate cut to boast financials so that investors aren't so fucking pissed that the uncertainty his trade disputes are causing.

>> No.13941045

If investors are antsy enough, the Fed cutting rates could be seen as proof that the U.S./Global economy is about to run into a brick wall (or already has but hasn't been expressed in profit reports yet). So much of economics is a confidence game. Take Tesla for example. It only stays afloat so long as its current and future investors have faith in its long term viability. If they lose that faith for any reason (regardless of how viable Tesla would be otherwise) the company is fucked b/c its valuation will crater to a point at which it can't leverage itself any longer. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy in many ways.

Banks aren't really the problem for the next correction, although any major recession will hurt them too. The issue is corporate debt; everybody's overleveraged and the shittiest companies are the most overleveraged. This isn't *necessarily* dangerous, because so long as external economic conditions remain positive, companies can make good on their investments even if they were fairly risky.

Unless, of course, Tariff Man nukes the positive macro-economic environment. Then the economy is fucked in a few quarters when the overleveraged corporate sector can't make good on their debts.

just be careful
if you trim out expensive (or penny) stocks, in theory that trims out the pool of picks, making true random less "true"

but with no limits on what stocks you pick, you might have a week or month where (1/n)th of your portfolio has to be BRK.A stock
meaning your overall portfolio has to be at Least n*(BRK.A's current price), which could be insanely high

being able to buy fractional shares would certainly help, but only so much (and it depends on how small of a fraction you can buy)

also, nice dubs!

i dont know much about the stock market, but i do know a bit about the media and those pesky jews that run it.

whenever i see the media talking shit about something non-stop i start to wonder if they're spreading these rumors for a reason beyond reporting the news. a couple of years ago they would've lead you to believe that tesla was one of the most innovative companies out there and that they're putting up a good fight and any hurdle in their way they'd end up solving. and now in the last 6ish months if you look for news about tesla its all grim, it's like almost over night they started burning the company and reporting it in a very different light.

are they really that shit? or is this a good buy after it stops dumping? i really think they're trying to drive the price down so they can fill their bags again and do another pump and dump.

buying the dip doesn't help them pay their debt. It just means that you give some random person out there $180, and they give you a TSLA share.
If you want to help TSLA, buy 100,000 model 3's (or more).

OR buy TSLA bonds in mass to drive down the yields. OR just give TSLA money directly, without asking for anything in return.
Buying their stock on the market does nothing. If you buy an absurd amount of their shares right now it might be enough to stabilize the share price for a little while, that's it. It'll cost you hundreds of millions of dollars.
