Someone mentioned biz as the place to find more about link. Don't have any right now but I've kept my eyes on it for a month now and finally decided to reserach it. Read the whitepaper already but it was really hard to understand

What's with all this crap y'all are talking about, I don't see any valuable discussion, just memes about $1000 eoy and some other crap

Can you guys give me a TL;DR on why Chainlink is good? Why is everyone talking about it?

Chainlink os not just a cryptocurrency, it's a gay sex cult. Linkers are those who worship Master Sergay. To join the Chainlink cult you need to be inoculated with Master Sergay's sperm in a sadomasochistic ritual.

Ok, I’ll try to make this simple but heres what you need to know about Chainlink, smart contracts, mainnet, and oracles: There are two different kinds of network. The one on blockchain was created by Satoshi, the second chain was created by the people who are going to use those blockchains for the most of things. The reason why they're different on chainchain is that the reason for they're different is because of different rules. One of the problems with block chain is that the system cannot work if everyone is using the same system, and therefore, they cannot be trusted.
Now this problem has been solved and will continue to get more complex with time, but to understand why it happens, the simplest solution involves using a transaction record. The transaction record is just a set of information to include in a block chain that shows who is talking to what to communicate. These records have the following properties: They are public record (not stored on disk). They are readable and can be sent to and from multiple users or different computers, even within a network. -- They do not contain hidden information. They do, however, need to be verified against public records. They also must be valid for the block to be valid and be kept safe by the network. The transaction's txout is always unique within the chain. The other advantage is that a transaction can be verified with a transaction record by sending someone a bitcoin. A bitcoin is not valid if it comes from a wallet that is associated with an organization or an attacker.

Furthermore, the transaction is broadcast immediately -The transaction contains a transaction ID that can be linked to another transaction (for example, a transaction that includes the timestamp of the previous transaction).

Each transaction includes either a block hash (a hash of the last known block that was created) or a sequence number (which is a list of three consecutive 0's that denote a previous block number). This allows the transaction to be linked to another transaction without having to create or verify a transaction history file with information about past transactions.

With the right tools and knowledge, you can create your own transaction, or create and add transaction outputs to another transaction, or add multiple transactions to a block. You can even use multiple transactions to publish a block, but once they publish the block, it can no longer be altered (an effect of having the same block hash and transaction ID for all).

try a pool cleaner vacuum while underwater, especially with a heated pool, it will give you the best orgasm of your entire life. the fans rapidly but gently smack the head of your dick while giving really strong suction. obviously stick your fingers in first to make sure it's safe, not every pool vacuum is the same. I've had blowjobs from 3 different women and 4 different men, I've used vacuums, cock-pumps, fleshlights, vibrators... and NOTHING compares to the pool cleaner. I'm not even fucking kidding right now, if you get the chance, try it. the only thing that is even remotely close to how good that pool vacuum felt was straight up vaginal sex with this fat chick who had a really warm snatch, it was like sticking my dick into a wet loaf of banana bread straight out of the oven, and yes this fucking pool cleaner vacuum was better than that. I don't own a pool or else I'd be doing it every day. unfortunately the owner of the pool caught me doing it so I'm not allowed to be within 1000 feet of his house anymore but it was so fucking worth it, I'm telling you that fucking pool vacuum is like heaven. honestly the only reason I even want to get rich is so I can afford my own house with a heated pool and of course a pool vacuum. I can't wait to buy a dozen different brands and styles of pool cleaners and fuck them all. I live for that day to come.

I'm affraid you got tricked by reddit or people associated with it. They've been known for their pranks on the newcomers for a while now.

Here's the deal - remember how everyone and their grandmother went crazy for cryptos in late 2017? Being that every coin and even ERC20 token in existence was mooning, this board came up with an idea to shill and aggressively shove random projects down peoples' throats as a joke and make a small buck while at it. Chainlink was perfect for this - a two man team with an idea that, at first glance, seemed viable and groundbreaking. Fundamentally, their concept was abstract and sufficiently vague to make it seem viable and was therefore easy to shill it to newcomers who were looking for easy gains without doing any research on their own. Memes were made, as well as copypastas, carefully worded to look like genuinely good advice or analysis. Funny thing is, it worked like a charm. After a massive FOMO in January 2018, people from biz dumped on the newcomers for a nice profit and moved on. Link is still frequently mentioned today, as a recurring gag and a throwback to the good old times when you could make good buck simply by writing seemingly feasible pastas about some obscure new project.

Unfortunately, even a 30 minute research on the topic would reveal that the problem they're claiming to be trying to solve is redundant and insignificant to the ecosystem. A classic case of creating a solution to a non-existent problem.

The reason you might see an influx of chainlink's relevance lately is because BTC's rise in value has brought some newcomers yet again, so anons are trying to repeat the same old gag. The funniest thing is that it worked to an extent, as shown by a recent pump and dump.

Stay safe, anon. While I don't like offering financial advice in a highly speculative market, take a look at RLC and Mobius. Unlike Chainlink, their work is fundamentally solid.

Fucking disgusting newfags, newlinkers, and nolinkers finally starting to question their idiocy make me sick.

Literally two seconds on google and you’ll find articles about Chainlink in Forbes, MIT Technology Review, reports on CNBC, hours and hours of talks on YouTube... warosu has over a YEAR of serious in depth discussion about everything to do with Chainlink, dissecting every last detail... there are thousands words long Medium and blog posts explaining Chainlink from start to finish...
And you want to be spoonfed a personal reply, tailored just for you? Typed out for you, personally? Um no sweetie. There’s a reason you got zero decent replies and that’s because we refuse to spoonfeed newlinkers who are too lazy to type into google. We spent a year researching this shit every single day and holding even through painful dumps to 20c. And you show up demanding info? Can you see why no one wants to give it to you easy?

You have to have gone through this experience, the months and months of reading and searching and learning, to truly understand, and to get to the point where you know it inside and out and will never sell. If someone types you a few lines, you’ll read them, you may buy some LINK, but you’ll just sell sooner or later for whatever reason because you didn’t really KNOW anything. So it’s pointless to explain it to you anyway

>REMINDER:
Do not spoonfeed the newlinkers - the ones who make low effort posts demanding tailored research just for their little pathetic low IQ queries. Why not? Well,
1) They don't deserve it.
and
2) They wouldn't understand anyway.

You might run across people who got tricked in the past and are doing their best to lure the unsuspecting anons in order to dump their LINK bags on them. Spotting them is easy when you get used to it - whenever cornered, they start repeating the same old buzzwords that were concieved in early 2018, such as "tokenomics", "partnerships and NDAs" (wtf does a partnership even mean? A project is either useful or it isn't, "partnership" is just a buzzword created in 2017 to shill projects like NEO, OMG, WTC, etc, usually asian projects as you can see). My personal favorite is SWIFT partnership and derivatives. Makes me chuckle every time. There are like 10k wallets with more than 1k LINK, suspiciously low relevance for such a "groundbreaking" project, don't you think? A rule of thumb is - if the same thing is repeated countless times, there's something fishy to it.

Geese winging their way south in wrinkled V-shaped flocks is perhaps the classic picture of migration—the annual, large-scale movement of birds between their breeding (summer) homes and their nonbreeding (winter) grounds. But geese are far from our only migratory birds. Of the more than 650 species of North American breeding birds, more than half are migratory.

Why Do Birds Migrate?
Birds migrate to move from areas of low or decreasing resources to areas of high or increasing resources. The two primary resources being sought are food and nesting locations.

Birds that nest in the Northern Hemisphere tend to migrate northward in the spring to take advantage of burgeoning insect populations, budding plants and an abundance of nesting locations. As winter approaches and the availability of insects and other food drops, the birds move south again. Escaping the cold is a motivating factor but many species, including hummingbirds, can withstand freezing temperatures as long as an adequate supply of food is available.

What is Fluid Mechanics?
First, What is a fluid?
Three common states of matter are solid, liquid, and gas.
A fluid is either a liquid or a gas.
If surface effects are not present, flow behaves similarly in all common fluids, whether gases or liquids.
Example - The Penn State Sea Lion
Students in the Penn State Mechanical Engineering Department have designed and built a human powered submarine, named the "Sea Lion" as part of a national contest. In the preliminary stages of the design, back in the early 1990's, some wind tunnel testing was done on various hull shapes and fin shapes. Since the submarine moves below any surface effects, it was perfectly valid to run these tests in a wind tunnel (using air as the working fluid) rather than in water (the actual fluid in which the submarine moves). As will be discussed in a later learning module, drag and lift measurements must, of course, be scaled properly according to the rules of dimensional analysis.
Example - PSU Harrier experiments
Several years ago, Professor Cimbala had a research grant from NASA to study the interaction of the jet exhaust from a harrier aircraft with the ground, while the aircraft is in hover with a wind blowing. Model tests were conducted in both a wind tunnel and a water tunnel. It was perfectly valid to run these tests in either air or water, since there were no free surface effects to worry about. As will be discussed in a later learning module, the results in either case must be scaled properly according to the rules of dimensional analysis.
Formal definition of a fluid - A fluid is a substance which deforms continuously under the application of a shear stress.
Definition of stress - A stress is defined as a force per unit area, acting on an infinitesimal surface element.
Stresses have both magnitude (force per unit area) and direction, and the direction is relative to the surface on which the stress acts.
There are normal stresses and tangential stresses.
