Electricians are still in good demand, right? After you get your 2 years of training in and after you work for a company for some time, you can move up to be a journeyman or just become self employed right?
Plus doing electrical work doesn't take that big of a toll on your body compared to carpentry or welding right?

in the exact same boat fren. Finished up my first year of community college but did not try or gain anything from it. Plan to work all this summer, save/build up a stack then attend an electrician training course in September. After I get my electrician in training (ET) card apply for apprenticeship and work my way up hopefully.

Go to a Junior College and get a technical degree. "Mechatronics", PLC stuff, robotics, automation, etc. Work in a factory and repair stuff when it breaks. Plenty of ass time, not too stressful. Just be good at troubleshooting. Most industries can't find qualified maintenance personnel.
