When realistically is 2.0 happening?
How big of a deal will it be?
Why is eth preforming so badly right now?
Can/will anything actually be able to replace eth? Or will 2.0 make that not matter?

ETH is incredibly undervalued right now. It's main disadvantage is it is harder for normies to understand it. But once you start imagining what can be built on top of it, damn does it look like a nice buy.

Also your precious LINK and 0xBTC runs on it, and BAT... and 90% of everything else shilled here. So why wouldn't you buy the power behind it all?

big
>Why is eth preforming so badly right now?
market isn't based on logic
eth does a bad job presenting itself in other languages, hard to get foreign hype
most crypto is shit, eth hasn't done enough to distinguish itself yet
>Can/will anything actually be able to replace eth?
not if it's out by 2021, if they waste a few more years maybe
>Or will 2.0 make that not matter?
no, 2.0 has to come

I agree. ETH is my only hold. I traded around to get more eth but I've got a nice number now so im done. Don't want to push my luck. Its just hard holding out while even ltc is out preforming. It'll have its day.

you're not the only one holding only ETH; it's the sensible thing to do

crypto is risky enough as it is; might as well park your money in the crypto that has the highest likelihood of facilitating mainstream adoption

At the end of 2020 - early 2021 the top 5 ranking in crypto will be:

BTC
ETH
FTM or HOLO

I know.. many people won't take it seriously until main net is released and does run ETH dApps with 0.7s finality and over 20k tps to start. But once it does, ppl will move on to a next fud point about insufficient decentralization or something.

What's so hard to understand in the fact that a DAG based smart contract that runs a dual VM (EVM being one of them) and does it exponentially faster than anything on the market, could be really successful?

>> No.13859929

i agree, is very undervalued right now.

I agree in a way but its educated gambling. You keep a close eye on development and you hope that things pan out.

So far I see good 3rd party code reviews, a working main net and a guy with good credibility (Andre Cronje) advising and speaking positively about the project and its technology.

I honestly get the skepticism but actually pumped for FTM and think it will at least be top 10 if main net is successful, which i think it will

ETH has done enough to step light years ahead of other smart contract platforms. It has all the worthwhile developers. It has Silicon Valley’s attention, it just hasn’t sold itself to Wall Street yet.

Thanks anon. I’m too scared to find out how she’s aged though...

I’ve got about 1k in BTC and another in ETH. How am I doing? Prefer stocks, but I think long term some crypto is a good idea.
