I am not suprised, the Fed has made it abubdantly clear wage stagnation is going to start affecting the economy in negative ways. If you're not in the top 25 percent of incomes in the vast majority of states you cannot afford a house unless you save for 20 years, you got inheritance or got federal housing assistance gibs. My rent is 950$ in a shitty suburb outside a minor American city. In the city it is easily 1350$-2000$. That rent is only slightly higher than what a mortgage would be. There are no jobs in the country. So even though a house is only 30k there, it's not worth commuting 3-4 hours for work because not only is that depressing as helk but it will eat half your paycheck in gas.
