Also back then on the bitcoin forums lots of people talked about the economics of changing the amount of bitcoin or moving the decimal over in the wallet to make the coin more user friendly. The 21 bitcoin forever wasnt as die hard established as it is now. No one was shouted down if they discussed increasing it if all miners/nodes agreed.
