Hard to say.
It really is hard to say. Your best bet is to watch your margins. If your stocks hit a hard margin, then sell. For instance, let's say you're in atr 10.98 a share (IDK what stocks you have specifically so roll with me) Set 45 both sides. If it sinks below 10.53 sell. That's your best bet. You don't want to lose, nor do you want to fear sell. Set limits, stick to them.

Could be. I don't think it will be years down the line though. Richard Uihlien is old and he's serious about his campaign contributions. So is his wife apparently. They have been accused of trying to buy elections because they spend so much.

And he put 20 million down on GALT rights offerings. He likely won't get all of that as institutions will get the rest. But he will be making a large insider buy of a company highly likely to be bought out. I'd guess they have a soft agreement as to that already.

But let's say I'm wrong. Is it so bad to hold onto a stock for 2-3 years that will give you a 10x return?

I'm fine holding/continuing to buy GALT for the next 3 years
I just would be super surprised if they get bought out this year after the Rights Offering. It would seem weird to go through all that, get ready for this 3 year trial, then sign a deal with a bigger company right after.

I know it's possible, but it's also very possible that it won't happen.

having a trial planned out and having funding is important to have leverage in negotiations

imagine if you were trying to sell something to someone, and that person knew that nobody else would buy it and you wouldn't do anything with it if they didn't buy it
they'd have all the control over how much that item cost
in order to get a good deal in a buyout, GALT has to be able to continue on its own if they don't like the terms being offered to them

He would have to put down a lot more to take it over. He maximizes his return though. And saving his reputation by not having a normal dilution followed by a buyout. He chose a rights offering because people can maintain their market share but many will lack the capital. Nevertheless they had the chance. He and the tutes get the extra. Everyone will be rewarded.

And the elections are coming soon. He's going to want to liquidate. Not tie it all up.

Step 1 download Robinhood or any commission free trading app.

Step 2 open up a track from Trevor something called “fade away”

Step 3 smoke as much weed as possible without getting sick or passing out

Step 4 create a StockTwits account with a bullshit profile pic of a guy in a suit you found on Facebook and start using terms like “downtrend” “uptrend” “buy the dip” “doji candle” “bullish” “bearish” and “Elon has no idea what he’s doing dude!”

Step 16 buy a bunch of monthly dividend yielding stocks, build them up for years and whenever you start to make tremendous profits sell them and move those gains into T

I have a similar plan but with my company's stock as they match 60% of my purchases and the yield is about 4.5% and increasing. When I calculate the 39 year DRIP I calculate ~500-600k making about 20-25k in divvys.

Tobacco will never die. People want to smoke, who cares if it's dangerous?
The pack I'm smoking says: Smoking Kills. Yet I buy one every day. No one wants to live forever.
The next cigarette I light might be the one that gives me cancer, yet I still do it... why? It's pleasurable and I don't want to live without nicotine.

Unless you think Xi has the Trump tongue and can spin a 90% defeat into a story of a 10% victory. I don’t know if he’s that good, and if the communist party are as gullible as the American public.

They're trying to do the same thing they did before which is grab the high ground and convince the rest of the world that the US is just being assholes and China is totally innocent.
Nobody buys that, of course. The Europeans won't ruin their relationship with the US anymore than it is for China, especially considering they aren't any happier about the shit China has been doing, Africa is too poor to be able to replace the US as a market for China's goods, the Middle East is a disaster and as for the rest of Asia...well, Xi Ping kinda burned that bridge with the whole "All of the sea is ours" bit, now hasn't he?
It'll be interesting to watch how China will try to work around this. They can't afford an extended trade conflict considering they're in the middle of trying to re-gear their economy.

Like see Kazakhstan, China's program at Xinjiang have also detained a lot of Kazakh, however they are too afraid of spoiling their relationship with China to speak it up.
Or look at the Philippines, they were the one who resist Chinese action at South China Sea the most, but the new president have turned the table and be friendly with China instead due to their economic power.

Ukraine fiasco made (relatively speaking) the investment environment in US more preferable to Europe for example - granted this was partly helped by Russia jumping the gun to protect its geopolitical interests (McCain and co. miscalculated Putin)

It's a tortured translation.

From what I gather the argument is that there was a domestic threat to Communist Party or Xi coming from pro-Western factions. Creating environment where Xi dismisses the trade negotiations, thus bringing on U.S. tariffs and creating anti-American feeling in China (due to U.S. actions against China for dismissing the trade deal) would be less costly to him politically than whatever was the alternative political course (compromising and dealing with U.S.) This anti-American feeling also would help to back Xi, and would make China less suspect to U.S. influence. So, kind of correctly, Xi understood its less about trade deal and more about long-term political goals (not that Trump kept it hidden)

> The purpose of Trump is to squeeze capital out of China and then redistribute it with a new international trading system, regardless of whether it is an agreement or a tariff.

> The purpose of the US side is not to change with the specific negotiation situation, and this purpose is unacceptable to the Chinese side, whether it is the Westernization or the conservatives.

> Therefore, even if Xi Jinping stepped down, it would not be possible for the Westernization faction to take full authority to reach even a slightly longer agreement.

> China may accept the agreement for the time being, but it will definitely repent afterwards.

RH is nice about this in that they just charge you interest as long as you're above 25% maintenance. I don't have to liquidate any positions unless shtf, so I'm g. Can we talk about Nintendo? Specifically, Nintendo in China? Is Chinese government as hostile towards Japanese gaming as they are towards American gaming? With the more anti-US feeling growing in the people, is there a possibility that they will see Japanese games as a better option, or is Japan seen as evil because they are an ally of the US?

Is there a chance Trump will try to fuck with them, as it seems like he wants to fuck with any company who does business in China?

I ask because of the news that Nintendo will start selling the switch in China, but ALSO because of the news of the MarioKart mobile game. I think MarioKart has real potential if it’s any good, and could provoke a lot of microtransactions among kids and nostalgic adults in the US, as well as Chinese kids if it’s any good.
