Why are you not floating the expenses on credit cards? Then it takes a whole month before the statement has to be paid off. You're not already carrying a balance, are you?

Public transit + walking? Sure it'd suck for like a month, but the weather isn't terrible and it's just until your first paycheck or two clear.

>But I have other equally important shit I need to pay.
>I have no credit. Never used credit in my life
Easy enough to fix. Just don't buy dumb shit, run any normal expenses through the card, and set up auto-pay to take care of the balance in full. Well managed and with cash back, credit cards give you a month+ buffer and save you around 2%. Read through

I live in a rural town, there is no public transport.

Depends on the card. Companies can be damn fast on the turnaround sometimes. They want you spending ASAP.

>I live in a rural town, there is no public transport.
Well you're a NEET sponging off someone, surely you can sponge a few rides off them as well. Hell, promise to pay them back for driving you to interviews and the first couple weeks and you're not even sponging, just giving them a no-strings Uber deal.

Isn't your rent due on the 1st? You've 3 1/2 half weeks until June 1st.
