btc is approaching massive resistance with an incredibly negative catalyst looming. i never thought that i would turn into one of these bitfinexed conspiracy faggots but lets be honest, this is not looking good. dont listen to these bagholders on reddit and crypto twitter that are telling you that its nothing. you can read the court documents for yourself.

we might pump a bit more to completely test the resistance in the low 6k's or even hover around that level for a while, but make no mistake - even without the bitfinex shit going on behind the scenes, the chart is bearish. we are in for a correction, the only question is how bad. the market is largely ignoring the bitfinex situation right now because btc is going up, so who cares? "B-B-BUT ITS ALL FUD BECAUSE BANKS USE A FRACTIONAL RESERVE SYSTEM TOO" they say. "THE DOJ AND OAG INVESTIGATING AND MAKING ARRESTS IS NOTHING" they say. "IF TETHER COLLAPSES BTC WILL PUMP FROM PEOPLE FLEEING USDT" they say (my personal favorite). but guess what happens when the price starts to correct? price and news run together. bad situations turn worse. shit can go downhill REAL fast.

and yeah yeah i got btfo on my premature short at 4.2k and im a dumbass blah blah blah etc. but lets be real, it looks like things are about to get VERY bad and you fucking know it too.

its pretty obvious that ETF's are never going to happen with bitfinex and tether shitting up the entire crypto market. a large reason that these ETF's are getting denied is because of the blatant amount of market manipulation. finex and tether simply have too much power, and wall street needs to get rid of them so that THEY can be in control of the market, not some unknown scammers hiding behind shady bank accounts and shell companies. bitfinex isnt being targeted for no reason - (((they))) are taking them out of the game.

so while this might hurt short term, in the long run it will be good for everyone when this dark cloud is finally lifted and we can bull in peace.

>There is currently $800 million of tether's reserves missing (seized)
that means, if everyone exits tether, into btc then bitcoin will get a pump. But as soon as all the tethers have been used to buy bitcoin and redeemed, there will be another 800 million worthless tethers in the market. That means, $800 million in buy USDT orders basically vanishes.

The supply of bitcoin stays the same.
The supply of buy orders decreases by $800 million.

If tether collapses, it's basically the equivalent of some whale doing an $800 million worth of bitcoin market sell. Or someone selling 130,000 bitcoins in one order.

The fact that 90% of the retards in this thread can't even make these three simple steps in logic should show you why it's so easy to make money trading this market.

Shorting here is retarded tho. And this situation only pans out if tether fails. Just wait. If btc dumps like $1500 from here, then it's time to short because the tether fud will become a self-feeding cycle.

right now tether represents $2.7 billion. But tether only has $1.9 billion in reserves. So if everyone cashes in their tethers, it will leave $800 million useless tethers that nobody wants and cannot be redeemed for anything. So all those USDT buy orders that are still on exchanges (800 million worth) will now be worth $0 because they are not backed by anything.
