I've registered to blockchain a few days ago to receive those 50$ in stellar. Didn't know what to do with it so I just left it there. Now some guy who's seen my comment on reddit PM'd me offering to buy those stellar for 40$ via paypal. I wanna get rid of that shit but his offer seems sketchy considering that he wants the stellar first.

I know close to nothing about crypto, so can anyone give me advice on how to handle this? What should I do with these stellar?

It's a scam. You are dumb but at least you realise it sounds sketchy.

Protip: if it sounds like a scam it always is.

"You send to me first" is the lowest iq possible scam there is.

even if he doesn't, paypal can be reversed for like 6 months

Create Coinbase account. Convert XLM into USD or BTC/ETH if you want to have some skin in the game

send it to him and tell him he has to chose "send money to a friend" through paypal, so he can't chargeback. if he doesn't send you the money, just reverse the XLM transaction. xlm transactions are reversable for 1 month so you have some time to demand the money from him

other question:

why are they giving 50 USD worth of stellar if you create an account on blockchain.com?
