Is monero worth getting into for someone who hasn't invested in crypto ever before (no not even shitcoin before).

It’s a hobbyist project that isn’t 100% private. You be the judge. Eth with btfo this coin in a few years with zk snarks and the rest of the features it plans on implementing.

Obviously if you invest you should go into btc first.

Sure lad, they're the only project that actively funds and employs cryptography PhDs
Their funding and employing of people has worked out terribly a few times, specially with Kovri, but it usually works out and has produced significant advancements for private blockchains
>>13493999
Monero isn't a PnD coin, it moves organically so it doesn't work as a moon mission, it's performance mid term tends to be better than BTC but not better than other top 15 coins, short term it's sometimes better than BTC and sometimes a bit worse
If you want a privacy coin Monero it's by far the best

this is a good omen. I am all in XMR with 20 monero. It trades nicely in this BART market. Goes from $60 to $70 USD in about a week. I've been accumulating from 15XMR stack over past two months. The mobile android wallet is secure as fuck, your XMR is safer in there than a trezor or nano. Perfect coin to trade and hold. Also I can tell you something fucking secret so nobody fucking look but op and DONT screencap this shit.

Im serious fuck off. Alright thank you. Basically, a property of XMR price action is that it seems to act in lockstep with BTC but actually, if you look fucking closely it crashes first and hardest. Usually -$300 btc = -$10 xmr BUT xmr will experience a drastic % loss right before bitcoin crashes, then crash harder. The big man mountain monero wallets either know the bitcoin cthulu dick OG's OR they are them to an extent. So, they make sure they get out of XMR at the peak and accumulate harder than other alts get shaken out.

keep in mind though, you need to have a higher iq than normal to use the monerujo wallet. nodes are no joke but that's part of why it's so secure. Also very fast to transact back and forth between binance and monerujo.

I told you your 9's were lucky OP.

I am going to post a free TA of XMR. This is the weekly chart of the XMR_BTC pair on binance. Bands are wide which means our upward price action of $4 in a day is organic and sustainable. See the blue wave getting bigger as it goes right ? That's our volume. Rising volume bouncing out of a weekly low with wide bands. If you bought this morning you would be up about $4 per XMR but I'm excited to watch it hit $72 BRIEFLY in about 2 days.

This is incredibly dumb and untrue, why do you think monerujo has ledger support? Hardware wallets are specifically designed to keep private keys secure, much more so than a general purpose machine.

same here. no point in keep your funds anywhere other than monero, then convert only small amounts to bitcoin to use. unlike all other transparent ledgers, no one will ever know how much you have or what you bought or who you are.

>Why do you jump on the conclusion that the guy had used shielded addresses?
Something like 96% of Zcash transactions are unshielded. Even if shielded transactions are as private as Monero, not enough people on the network are using them.
