If I'm not mistaken this was just after he confirmed that Craig had proved to him that he is satoshi. The "he was hacked" thing was just a cover to boot him. They had a different vision of bitcoin than Gavin and Satoshi, and that's what you now see in the hack job btc lightning coin.
