For buying stuff on amazon in particular, super fast payments doesn't actually seem to be important. You have to wait for delivery anyway.

Personally I've been buying stuff from amazon using BCH, using a proxy site (purse.io) which offers deep discounts -- they require at least 1 conf AFAIR.

LN is actually cool tech in my opinion, but it has many issues that arise especially if the layer 1 fees are high (ironically).
