Both are used for psychological warfare to build support and cannon fodder for various causes
A stronger dose of the bluepill makes a redpill all the more intense when it is first dropped. The bluepill can shelter one from the redpill with fear, distraction, entertainment, misinformation. The redpill dissolves all this. Once the redpill hits, its next to impossible to go back to the bluepill camp.

redpills are really just bluepills. People that take redpills think they are smarter for it. Notice how redpilled people still think they got something to say. Once you get blackpilled you realize that there isn't anything to say. You realize all the redpills but without any emotion. The blackpill is a lifestyle not many can live. The world becomes fake. You can't enjoy movies anymore. Lots of music will start sound like shit even things you normally loved. Family and friends will slowly fade. You always have to sink down a level. On the other hand you litterly gain knowledge that gives you the tools to set you free in whatever direction you like. Whether it be financially or mentally. Nothing can really stop you at that point. You could quite litterly write down the rules and as long as you play by those you'll find success. But it is a tough pill to swallow.

The thing that made me realise it was I used to think Neo was the story of revelations christ in a sci fi context but then I couldn't figure out how the wachowskis could become transgender while having such an understanding of christ. That contradiction made me see the portrayl of choice as the fundamental reality instead of the will of god is the antichrist not christ, the wachowskis choose their gender to rebel against the system of gender because they see the will of god as a prison.
