That's considered a good wage in Europe. Taxes are insane here. 70-80% of your earnings easily.

Sci tech I just barely beat you in wage but no one really notices me unless they want an order. It's all dependant on the kind of boss though

as long as you have a degree and can speak intelligently, you can probably find a low-paying inside sales role with a software company

I work in sales, you're probably not going to be able to do it desu. You're 30 years old with no sales experience so no reputable company is gonna want to hire you, and working at a shitty shady company is just going to start the path to you necking yourself.

>>13290941
This isn't accurate, most software companies have the BDR/SDR/AE distinction among reps.

BDR/SDR's are the starting roles but they're almost entirely populated by recent college grads or people in their mid twenties making a career switch after already demonstrating capabilities in something else. AE's are the older folks but you need 18 months - 3 years BDR/SDR experience to even be considered for those roles

It might be different outside of software but that's my typical experience, I would recommend you look into healthcare instead. Become something like a Nurse Anesthetist, you can get paid along the way just being a normal RN, and then eventually work your way up to a solid 6 figure job.

Uhm what? In the countries with the highest taxes (Scandinavia) $15/hour is bad even if you're minimum wagecucking. Pretty sure Mcdonald's pays $20+/hour here in Denmark. And tax isn't that bad for low income people. Mcwageslaves probably make $15/hour after tax. And that's with free health care, free education, public pension, 1 month of paid vacation/year etc.

Because you were a 32 year old recent graduate with a master's, not a 32 year old who spent 10 years working at McDonalds..

Mcdonald's pays $20+/hour here in Denmark. And tax isn't that bad for low income people. The first 8k you earn is only taxes at 8%. After that it's like 35%. Mcwageslaves probably make $15/hour after tax. And that's with "free" health care, "free" education, public pension, 1 month of paid vacation/year, workplace pension etc. When you add those things up minimum wagies here are probably making like $30/hour.

Oh, and you get $900/month for living expenses while studying, generous child support etc. I'm not a fan of all aspects of the Nordic model, but it's heaven on earth for people with low incomes.
