How in Earth will UBI not weaken and shortwire everything the United States Dollar is worth for. The biggest part probably the ideology and how people in general will think or perceive money. Its basically the main thing in a capitalist economy. You exchange labour in favor for USD, and you can then use the USD to pay for goods or services. But now the whole labour part falls away. What significance will this $1000 get? Like something compared to tokens or food stamp kind of deal? It gets devalued in its obvious kind of form. Getting something just because you exist? While putting no work or effort in? Smells like communism for me.....
