This is unironically the same thing right now.

It might seem like a lot of people are still here, but actually there is only a small amount of us left. When things kick off again, all of us here will be the small minority of people that others go "omg you stayed in crypto through 2018/2019, how could you tell it wasn't dead?"

>Not going away ever again

This is what I told myself when it was going to 20k etc, I was like 'Never again will I doubt Bitcoin or get bored with'. I also realized that the bull markets are not actually the best time for getting rich off of this, the best times to get rich are the boring times, the bearish times. It's obvious when you think about it, it's the same with any other investment.

Quite likely for sure, you can already see some new coins popping their heads up that seem like good candidates for the next bull run. I am investing in some of the alts that did well last bull season and crashed, though some will likely be legitimately dead.

Stuff like Litecoin, Eth seem quite safe. Also, due to the sheer impact Ripple had on normies I would think this might be safe. Coins like RVN and BTT seem like possible candidates for future bull run moon missions, I still need to do some research actually.

I already have a fair amount of holdings, but in the next few months I hope to further research relatively new coins and then proceed to buy them.

Nope, because you sure as fuck aren't getting another 100x bull market. If you hadn't been like the other plebs in 2015, you would have made the money. 2019 isn't 2015. This is a secular bear market and you won't be rewarded much for holding on this time. Every fucking retarded 14 year old and grand mother knows about Bitcoin and other cryptos now.

You won't get another 100x. You might get a 10x, but that assumes perfect performance and you won't be the best trader, so you can expect 5x over the next 5 years.

I aim to continue accumulating this year into next and hold out until around Q4 2021 - Q1 2022

I first got in when BTC hit $1k for the 2nd time, ETH hit double digits for the 1st time, and the bull market started picking up steam. A good number of anons on /biz/ at the time were very tired and weary from the long bear market. Many cashed out between $1k and $2k to just get their money back and gtfo of crypto.

At that point in time, a lot of alts were coming back to life but all the news and activity that surrounded them was pretty dated. When researching a lot of alts, the "latest news", their dedicated threads on bct, and the subreddits that at one point had a ton of activity appeared to stop dead in their tracks around 2014 or so. They were still down considerably (80%+) from their old ATHs and it appeared that most of them were truly dead. However, a lot of those alts not only came back but reached much bigger ATHs by the end of the year.

I used to chase pumps on bittrex, take my initial out plus a small profit, and then keep the remaining balance in the alt and send it to a desktop wallet. That way it was like I got the remaining alts for free while making a little BTC on the side. I still have a few of them (i.e. RDD, BAY) sitting around from 2 years ago. They're basically worthless at this point, but maybe that will not be the case forever.

I wouldn't mind throwing $100 a pop into random alts at this point in time. The risk is losing $95 for good and the potential reward is making $5k out of it for no reason 2.5 years from now. I've gotten much more interested in just building up a good BTC/LTC/ETH stack.

Good luck anons. Hopefully we can all make it.

>past performance is not a guarantee of future performance

You got dumped on and will never have the opportunity to sell your bags for break-even prices. Crypto is going to trade to zero over the next decade while bagholders capitulate their bags to desperate losers hoping to get rich quick, who will it turn capitulate even lower.

You missed the greatest bullrun in human history. Sorry dude. Get over it and move on, it's getting pathetic.
